Shush mate, that doesn't fit in with the Negative Nelly's Doom-mongering in this place. But we had the calamity of Lampard manage us through the first half of the season.
At least Dyche is a competent manager.
We haven't scouted any players like that. "Premier League Proven" is our mantra. We're a completely incompetent organisation.if that is true then we need to stop looking at the Gnonto's of this world and start looking at the Gnonto's of last year.
Thats the bit that doesn't add up (pun intended) to me - if we are as financially hamstrung as this guy says then we need to take more risks with raw youth players from Switzerland/Austria/Belgium/Scandinavia/South America.
I’ve actually been loosely following his career since he was a youth player at Inter and I think he’d be a great signing.Think Gnonto is one that we're relying on the player pushing for the move
They already have quite a big squad but the pulling power of better players, a team on the up and European football would be hard to turn down. The only advantage we have is that he’s likely to get a lot more game time. Thanks as always. The Gnonto report from Sport Mediaset has enough detail to almost have me convinced. Villa have other options; matching 20m for Gnonto doesn't sound likely to me.

Yes mate. I think it was yesterday that the athletic did a piece on us as well and someone posted this morning listing all the signings we made who were essentially older pros, who mostly under performed, cost a fair bit in wages with little to no resale….. not a great combination of factors! That bit is grim reading. We must be an absolute financial mess.
Sorry mate, it’s akin to waiting for the Arteta money ffs!!…., I’ll set the alarm for tomorrow - duly noted! As ever, thanks for these daily round ups.
... been waiting for a bl00dy hour!! lol

we've put ourselves in a position where we're almost forced to go for premierleague proven because we don't have enough quality in our existing squad to go out there and find 2/3 low risk high reward prospects like a Gnonto of last year.We haven't scouted any players like that. "Premier League Proven" is our mantra. We're a completely incompetent organisation.
add to that at least 70m of compensation to sacked managers and their staffYes mate. I'm not gonna wake up next to Jennifer Lawrence either
I don't actually mind that policy, I wish we did it a lot more. But not if we use that money to pay the wages of a reserve team player from Man Utd or, even worse, to service debt. Who are we going to sell next year? Pickford, I guess. Will be a massive slap in the face when the one player we bought last year that wasn't 'Prem League' battle-tested gets sold for x2 in 12 months of service...
no I want us to buy from the tiny leagues and just accept they do well and move on for multiples...I don't actually mind that policy, I wish we did it a lot more. Here’s the real reason for a slow start to transfers. Tbf I’d have waited for this to pass too..
