Would weghorst, che Adams and 52 year old vardy, some of the worst suggestions ive ever seen to solve our striker crises.
Here's another one. It's probably not likely to be done, but what if we could get Lukaku here on loan for next season?

Chelsea want rid but are having trouble finding a buyer, mainly because of his high wages, I think.

It might be cheaper to pay the loan fee and part of his wages for a year than pay a transfer fee for someone a bit decent, and would buy us time to find a quality striker.

We've only been in relegation struggles because of a lack of goals and he would solve that problem, I'm sure.

Chelsea are pretty desperate to move him on and I think they'd do a deal.

Would love him back here. Away from that bell whiff bad influence Pogba, back to the club where he played the best footballer in his career, could probably offer Chelsea £100k a week contribution to his wages alongside a decent loan fee. We generally ship out players and pay most of their wages and receive nothing in terms of a fee, so worse deals have been done. I do think he'll end at a top club at the end of the window however.

Morning mates.

Welcome to the 18th July Everton transfer 💩 show…..

I’ve tried to bundle together as many of the transfer rumours flying around, combining them into one bite size and heart burn inducing portion for your dining pleasure.

I make some apology for some of the sources and articles used.

Dan Plumley has insisted that Everton may still need to sell another couple of players before making any serious moves of their own this summer. The finance expert admitted that looking at the bleak numbers in Everton’s account, it will take up to five years to get back to a normal position again, including their transfer business.

“Given the situation over the last three years, it is probably still the case that Everton need to sell a few as well. Despite the sales in recent years, there are still a couple more that need to go, and it’s not a quick fix at Everton given the nature of their finances.

“It’s a three-to-five year to progress back so it is not easy.”

Everton have made a “rich offer” to Villareal attacker Arnaut Danjuma as they look to seal another transfer, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport. The Italian newspaper has reported in its print edition (18 July, pg 8) that the Toffees are facing serious competition from AC Milan for his signature, though.

Wilfried Gnonto could push to leave Leeds United amid interest from Sean Dyche’s Everton, according to a report. 90min has reported that Everton are interested in signing Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds United in the summer transfer window.

Aston Villa are preparing for transfer discussions with Leeds United winger Wilfried Gnonto’s representatives, according to a report in Italy. Unai Emery is stepping up his search for a new forward with the likes of Harvey Barnes, Moussa Diaby and Jeremy Doku linked. But Gnonto could be in genuine contention

Everton have made a £20million+ bid for Leeds United winger Willy Gnonto, with a choice to be made for Gnonto between joining the Merseyside club or Aston Villa should he leave, according to Sport Mediaset. According to the report on 17 July, Everton’s bid for Gnonto consists of an offer for £15.4million plus £5.1million bonuses, which would then be followed by a bonus of £8.6million paid to the player over the course of five seasons. It is shared that Aston Villa will have to eclipse Everton’s bid if they wish to win the race.

According to talkSPORT (via Everton News), it looks like Mason Holgate is nearing an exit as newly-promoted Sheffield United eyes a deal for the 26-year-old. The Toffees are keen to trim the wage bill this summer and Holgate is someone tipped to be replaced.

According to Football Insider, Everton have shortlisted Mohammed Salisu as one of their top defensive candidates this summer. However, this outlet revealed that Monaco has submitted an offer for the 24-year-old to throw Everton’s plan into doubt.

Salisu is out of contract in 2024 and Southampton will most likely want to sell him this window to avoid losing him on a free next year.

Everton target Anthony Elanga's valuation is being driven up by interest from elsewhere. That's according to the Manchester Evening News, as the Toffees eye attacking signings in the summer transfer window.

Everton are eyeing a deal for Union Saint-Gilloise striker Victor Bonifance as they look to improve their striking options this season, according to Football Rover. The online outlet has reported on 18 July that the club were impressed by the Nigerian’s “astounding” goal-scoring prowess and versatility, and has already taken initial steps to explore the possibility of bringing Boniface to Merseyside this summer.

As more and more rumours come and go about possible new signings, one current Everton player whose future remains uncertain is Demarai Gray a move to Crystal Palace and Saudi Arabia have been mentioned. (various sources Sky/Echo)

Iliman Ndiaye's proposed move to Marseille 'could collapse', it has been claimed. The Senegalese forward looked to be closing in a move to the Ligue 1 side, having also been linked with a switch to Goodison Park in recent weeks.

Ndiaye appeared to be Marseille-bound after talks between the French club and Sheffield United progressed, though Fabrizio Romano has now stated a deal is 'getting difficult' and could fall through.

Why would he? Played 37 league games last season. His injury history isn’t the reason to not sign him.

The fact he is old and isn’t very good anymore is the reason not to.
Your point is 100% valid. He is old and not very good any more. I'd also expect him to fall to bits if we signed him. Something in the water at finch farm.

There's a real difference in the attitude of Leicester and Brighton fans compared to us. Leicester have been relegated, sure, but their fans wouldn't swap survival on the Prem for the success they have achieved. I know some Brighton fans really well and they fully expect to be back in the Championship in the not too distant future but they don't care. They're enjoying this ride almost as much as they enjoyed being promoted from League One. For us, being a top flight club is the core of our identity. Some of us can't imagine the club surviving the drop. (We would, of course.)
Id happily get relegated the following season if it meant we won the league to be fair!

If it wasent for the stadium relying so much on our PL money, relegation to well ran clubs aren't the disaster they are made out to be!
Leicester needed a reset! If they do it properly (which I'm not sure they will) they will be fine!

Villa are in for Gnonto now so we know how that one ends.

We're genuinely going into the season with no new faces and a significantly worse squad that almost got us relegated last season. lol

…whilst we still haven’t strengthened in the critical attacking areas, I’m not sure it’s ‘significantly’ worst than last season. I’m not seeing us lose anybody who could’ve made any difference (Davies, Simms). Indeed, I’d say Gomes is better than Davies and Cannon better than Simms if we desperately need to use one of them.

This is a team that avoided relegation by 45 minutes last season so it only has to be marginally worse and we will go down.
