I hear what you’re saying mate. My gut feeling is and I could be way off, any club interested in our better players may be holding off, they know we need money so will leave it as long as possible to make a bid , we don’t have the advantage due to needing to bring players in and player sales likely to be the only avenue to do that for players that command a fee.

I can’t wait for the day this club gets the major overhaul it so desperately needs. I don’t think some will know what’s hit them should the club become a success.
You're absolutely right, we're in an absolutely crappy negotiating position right now, on outgoings and incomings. Which is why unfortunately we don't have the leverage to speed deals up and have to be a bit patient. I'm still pretty certain things will get done- we're in the same position and hearing the same things as we did at the same point last summer, and brought 8 players in. It's just that we're in no position to force the pace.

Yep - if you throw enough scientists and coaches with degrees at the game it will become more technical. City for example clearly play an almost different sport to our 80s title winning sides.

But because as you say the basic elements are the same it is possible to simplify the game and focus on doing those basic building blocks really really well and have decent success. And that includes working players hard and getting them really fit.

The Brighton away game is your perfect example of that. It’s was a triumph of running really fast at the right moments.

Dyche is a yes man, the perfect fit, he's not gonna complain to the public about the lack of signings

kenwright and co have got their man
Would you prefer a self preservation merchant like Rafael, telling anyone who listens how crap his squad is and how little funds he has so that nothing is his fault.

Dyche will crack on and do his best for us.

We need someone who will publicly be positive, but privately is telling the leadership of the club that their lack of backing is not acceptable, and that forwards are needed right now.

Absolutely agree, we have no idea if Dyche is the type to speak truth to power, but I've no issue with him giving the appearance of positivity and cohesion in public.

Dwight I like your posts but i think this time you're making something out of absolutely nothing here mate...only time I've personally seen him mention it is when asked about it.
Fair enough. I've seen it a few times. Regardless of whether or not you think he makes a big deal about it himself, it's grim that the club are pushing it out to their sources like it's a major plus. Same with having Michael Keane (one total calamity) tell us how sharp Maupay (another total calamity) is looking in training.

Like a new signing 😆

- Contracts on the table for Moussa Dembele and Zaha (both unlikely with more money offered elsewhere)
- Elanga and Gnonto offers with clubs, not accepted at this point due to deal structures (players would move)
- Danjuma offer been on table for two weeks. Seems like he’s off elsewhere
