Summer transfer window 2023

Last summer EFC spent 78m on 5 players, plus one free transfer (Tarks) and two loans (Coady and Vinagre).
It's interesting that people read that as being 'this is going to happen again' rather than 'we went into debt last summer in desperation and now the chickens have come to roost'.

Don't get me wrong, I hope we find a magic money tree via Moshiri.

Nothing at all, couldn't you possibly discuss it on a Villa forum. You know nothing of our finances, so don't make out you do.
So it was condescending and now it is nothing at all? What I said about EFC finances is that 78m was spent on transfers last summer. Do you think that is incorrect?

Honestly not interested, but you do seem to have a unhealthy interest in who we buy, how much we spend and absolutely none in how much we recoup. Oh it was condescending in my view. You eould not be on this forum crowing if you were struggling

I am not reading it as that. I am just saying that last summer there was a spend on transfers. I like Everton, I have said many times on here they are my 2nd team. I don't like the situation EFC is in at the moment but to say there was no money spent on transfers is just wrong.

It's still early days. West Ham have £105 million burning a whole in their pocket yet haven't bought anyone yet. Several other Premier League clubs have largely kept their powder dry thus far.

We all want a few signings early doors to get the juices flowing but patience is a virtue and all that.

(And no I'm not Bill Kenwright)
