Summer transfer window 2023

I posted this after the January window closed. I hope we focus on the right players to deal with the current situation. We need physically robust, strong mentality’s and who know how to battle. Like them or not, the Sean Dyche players (Keane, Tarkowski, McNeil) are rarely injured and quality is important of course but so is reliability and a consistency in team selection / availability of players.

It’s not going to be pretty next season but buying cheaper, foreign players is not the way at the moment in my opinion.

Nah, not being daft here - I get your meme, I know why you're saying it, Gnonto is still quite a good player stuck in a crap team. He's also 19 or something too, so for a good price - worth a punt in a position we need.

Yeah, I don't get the meme but he's quick, tricky and has resell value. He's looked bright for Leeds this season and has loads of potential.

Oh I know I just like mocking all the people that bigged them up all season and said they’re far better than us and will definitely be safe. He could well improve, I’m not saying he’s destined to be an absolute dosser all his career, it literally is just a meme.

I generally find the transfer window incredibly frustrating , as the club seems to repeatedly let us down due to indecisiveness and slow movement.
However it is so much less stressful than what we have been put through on the pitch over the last couple of seasons. Therefore I think that I may enjoy it rather more this year , as it will be comparatively therapeutic and chilled , compared to the actual football season itself.

I think we have a bit moe time than that, but yes, we need incomngs asap.
We’ve probably got longer to sort free players, I agree, but if the club is going to try and show they’re moving on from the last few years then they need to show our recruitment strategy by announcing something as soon as, no matter what’s happening at board level. A free player would do that but it’s going to be a long summer.

Fair.

Just at age 19 and a full international - if he comes along for a good "relegation clause" price we can afford I won't be mad.

We won't get him even if we could and we'll probably get a free transfer from the lower leagues who can barely run (or re-sign Andros Townsend because experience) so it's a moot point really but just throwing it out there.

He also got dropped towards the back end of the season, he has not really had a good season, but he is 19 so short of being a wonderkid he was never going to set the world on fire. He is purely potential right now, as is Onana.
