Them 3 you mention plus CB and we still need a CM someone who can control a game and keep possession, maybe James Garner is that player but we need another one, if it was possible I would go for Ward-Prowse, but we can’t afford him and I guess he will end up at Villa or Newcastle.

I don't disagree but it's bottom of the list just given the numbers we have at CM now. Sadly, a while ago you'd have said Gomes fits that mold but not anymore.

Why do people keep saying this? It’s massive
Including Cannon and all the returning loans the squad is already at 25. With 3 more seemingly coming in soon, that takes us to 28. We need to be punting about 5 of these lads, if not more out the door to whoever will pay for them. Gray, Gomes, Gbamin, Holgate and Maupay seem like the obvious ones that will leave. If we're lucky we'll be shut of Iwobi and Keane but that's doubtful.

That's 7 players there that could leave tomorrow and we'd probably only have to replace 2 of them truly. All those go, get the 3 forwards in and replace Iwobi in midfield and Keane at CB with actual football players, we'd be sorted.

Looking at the Leicester forum, they are gutted at him leaving, more so than a few high profile others. He’s very well liked and regarded and the general feel is he got a raw deal at he club.

The worst comments are resignation, like us with Richarlison an acceptance that he has to go to raise funds pragmatically.
Yeah my mate at work who supports Leicester told me all year that they’d have more points if Rodgers played him more and then ultimately said he’d have probably kept them up if both managers had made him their starting striker over Vardy (who he obviously loved but said is past it)

If we could offload Gomes and Iwobi then getting a good midfielder isn’t impossible, of course getting the other 3 over the line first.

I think Ward-Prowse would be perfect for us, consistent and never misses a game through injury.

Gnonto is still the player I would like in the attacking positions as he has so much potential but Danjuma and Iheanacho would be strong signings for us. Would be happy with just those two and delighted with all three, that puts us in a great place for the new season attacking wise.
Agree but it only puts us in a reasonable place and that's as much as we can hope for. We're trying to progress from woeful to mediocre remember
