I just can't believe that we could be in fairly advanced talks with a player in this day and age without it being everywhere. Maybe a free transfer, but Dembele is going elsewhere.

Not saying he's making it up at all, but I think his sources might be having him on. We also seem to have ruled out (either from them going elsewhere, or him ruling them out) virtually all of the strikers we have been linked with, so just can't see it.

Maybe for virtually the first time in my time as a supporter, Everton will give me a positive surprise and sign Gift Orban

I'll take a Forward, Winger and a CB and I'll be happy going into the season.

Midfield needs looking at too unfortunately. Iwobi, Doucoure and Gana will be off to AFCON. Can't see us wanting to pay Spurs £10m, so can probably rule out Dele. You would think Gomes and Gbamin will be off.

So unless I have forgotten someone, that will see us try to get through January with just James Garner to play CM.

Personally I'd have taken Sarr..think he'd have slotted in well to the counter attack system we seems to have adopted...agree on Dembele,Got bad vibes from him.

We need midfielders regardless of AFCON imo. All 3 of those players are also out of contract next year and Gana is soon to be 34.
