We could've re-signed James Vaughan and Myers would've said it was this "mystery" player. Absolutely no chance in any reality anyone at Everton would've been stupid enough to say that they'd be close to completing this signing this weekend. As if Almeria wouldn't have just waited the few days to see if United buy Atalanta's striker and get more money out of them.

A blind man could've said that Everton would attempt to buy a forward this window, Myers throwing out cryptic clues and then claiming he knew about this all along after more reliable sources confirmed it is frankly pathetic from a man claiming to be a journalist.
