Yeah but ffp and p&s rules aren't whats stopping us from spending. Its the fact moshiri has pulled his financial backing and the club doesn't generate any financial revenue by itself.

Just a note on Dia and Maupay. It’s incredibly rare for player exchanges. Very messy with accounts/FFP/agents fees. Players also don’t like it. More often than not it will be single transfers

It amounts to the same thing though. Maddison to Spurs and Winks to Leicester were separate transfers but clearly had been part of the same conversation.

Or a cynical person may suspect that Moshiri doesn't want to spend money and is making out like the club is doing the best they can but the market conditions make it very difficult to buy players.

I don't think it matters does it? I don't know whether the club has money in the bank or not but if they're not going to spend it it doesn't matter at the end of the day. If they'll only pay 5 mil up front then they'll only pay 5 mil up front whether they could pay 15 or 25 or 50 isn't important if they won't anyway.

He is poo but Ben Godfrey has been playing there in pre-season so we actually need him back.

Didn’t realise Adama Traore was a free agent. Not the most prolific but from the RW has a goal/assist every 3.5 games or so (according to transfermarkt). I assume most wouldn’t want him though.

Also James is free. Bring a blue home.

I don't really understand why we let him go on international duty when he missed the end of the season, bit of a strange business as everything seems to be with us. He wasn't fit for us before or now nearly two months after but he was fit that one week?
