Just a note on Dia and Maupay. It’s incredibly rare for player exchanges. Very messy with accounts/FFP/agents fees. Players also don’t like it. More often than not it will be single transfers

If we're trying for Dia, I don't think it's because he's a player we think will really help, but rather we can work in Maupay into the deal because Salernitana have wanted him since he was at Brighton. They bid £15m for him last year.

That was when he was on sensible wages.

Now we've signed him hes probably on 3 times what their top earner is on.

It does raise the question of how we support our own players and at what point do we bin them.

But does give an opportunity to artificially inflate fees for both and scam FFP. Haven't Barça and the sh'ite been doing that for years?
