Summer transfer window 2023

They’ve just signed him permanently, it’d be such a weird move for them to allow. Not saying it’s impossible but I genuinely don’t know why we go after targets that are clearly going to be hard deals to make.

Toure and Dia are two deals that we’d have to pay over the odds for in a deal that isn’t even guaranteed for multiple reasons, yet someone like Iheanacho, who isn’t perfect of course, is a deal that could probably be wrapped up for a reasonable fee in a short amount of time.

It’s probably a good thing in a sense, we’re aiming high but in our situation it’s probably a bit naive to be after players who just signed for their clubs or players who’ll be wanted by Champions League level clubs.
I think it might be because they got him in on the cheap, and now they can make a good profit

Not too cheap though. From what I see they just got him for €12m and he scored 16 goals for them last year. Going off our bids €6m profit + Maupay doesn’t seem to represent a great deal for them I would imagine.

If I were to guess they’ll want the value of €30m to entertain it at all, which is fair enough from their view. Deal makes no sense for us though. I’d be looking at other targets.

The team lining up against Stoke today looks like it will be, injuries permitting, the starting 11 for the Fulham game. 9 weeks of the transfer window and the only attacking addition we have is a winger forced to play as CF. (Which he did for Villareal, I know, but that is not what he was brought here for). Beginning to feel sorry for Dyche

It depends what value they attach to Maupay. If they think he's worth 12-15m then the deal might look quite attractive.

Its said they want €35 to make the deal. Thats good profit. That being said, if they want Maupay and €20m then no... that ain't so good 😬 but, you never know, Maupay could do well for them. They were after him whilst be was at Brighton , so they must see something in him

….you shouldn’t feel sorry for Dyche. He openly admits he wouldn’t have got the Everton job if circumstances were different.

I think given they probably don’t want to sell along with the season Maupay has had, valuing him even over €10m is probably tough. They’ll probably want €20m-€25m + Maupay at a minimum I’d imagine.

Around 20m plus Maupay is what I was thinking might look like a good deal for both parties. I'm hoping one dodgy season in a dodgy team might not affect Maupay's value as much as we think. I have no clue, though

I think Maupay would probably do well in Italy but we don’t really get to factor that in on our side. He’s been poor for Everton so his value isn’t that high. We’d probably gladly sell him for £10m, so in a swap deal his value would be lessened in the favour of them.

I just don’t think this deal represents good value or business for us honestly. We’re much better off going for Iheanacho and Gnonto for the same “value”, even though at this point we’re leaving it so late now that those deals will be harder to get done.

Dont feel sorry for him is up to him to push the club to get deals done. Nothing shocked me with that team today, just another year when this club has let us fans down again. Just a disgrace that again waiting for a cf to come i to this team and again they try gamble with dcl

I'd love us to sign Kamada, but according to reports, his Milan move broke down over ridiculous demands. Think it was reported as €9m annual wages, plus €9m signing on fee and a huge bonus payment going to his agents on top of that or something.

If he was pushing a ridiculous deal to Milan, imagine what he'd want from us!!
There were similar reports about Bernard the summer we signed him, his agent was asking for crazy money, no one bit and he joined us at the end of the window. I still don’t think we’ll get Kamada though.

Yuri Alberto

Corinthians Striker.
£20m

From what I’ve seen of him he’s more of a second striker or wide player than a target man, we could be going for him instead of Gnonto. Or be looking to play him off a main striker. He seems to like the ball into feet rather than crosses. He looks good in Brazil, but the pace of the game is slower than the premier league
