Summer transfer window 2023

Why are people upset or surprised about this?

We need at least 6 new players.
We've got 2.

We have zero money and need to sell/move on another 3/4 players who no one wants in order to get maybe 2 players in. Most of which will happen in the last week of the window.

Always going to be like that. Hence why Dyche will have to perform another miracle.
I think the upset is caused by seeing the results of years of marriage management by a crowd of circus performers.
At the moment we are devoid of hope as we cannot even get rid of the worst chairman the club has ever witnessed. This is compounded by the fact that we have an absent owner who has not hindered rather than helped.

Happy with most of our targets tbh.

How would you get your selections approved by the Ego Duo Kenwright and Moshiri? As they stated in the interview last year, their sign off is required before any transfer.
How can they approve anything after ive chopped their hands off?

This is why I should be DoF and not Nmyz.

I wouldn't be an absolute bitch and I'd make them see how their meddling is sending this club down. Too many people at our club happy to just sit back and get paid. No backbone.

I agree with you, but I dont think anyone can get through to those two. Kenwrights a deluded old fool and Moshiri is seemingly utterly insane.

Cos everyone else will be doing the same with more financial weight.

Then you have to consider whether they go straight into the team, sink or swim in the premiership.

Been mentioned in the thread, we don't have the foundations to bring an unknown for £3mill and hope they pull up trees when the fact the team as it is now don't and doesn't function properly.

Example with Barkley is that he goes straight into the team, there's no negotiations with clubs, and is cheaper up front
I feel there is a happy medium between what we’re doing now and what you’re implying. How many vNext Gnontos can you buy for 30m or even 18m? You can at least hedge your bets and double up. Clearly we’re overpaying for experience right now and it’s not even as if it’s a winning strategy. We need to do something different.

Mismanagement and delete not penultimate line.
Clumsy fingers

Dyche is the only thing to have hope in IMO.

Personally think we'll have a messy end of the window but I don't think we'll be in a relegation battle last day of the season job because of Dyche'.

We'll certainly be bottom 6 or 7 though.

There is. But not with what we have as a club and how it's ran ATM.

Victor Ora was the DoF at Leeds. He's now at Seville replacing Monchi (who is now at Villa).

Ora is vastly more experienced and better at his job than Thelwell.

That joel piroe at swansea slotted twice yesterday. Hes scored alot of goals in a mid table championship side and looks like he is leaving. Is he worth looking at if we were going to spend £25m on a lad who scored 7 goals in spain.

Journos close to Swansea City FC say he’s easily worth £15-20m but cos of his contract situation he will probably leave late in the window for around £10-12m. At that he’s probably worth the punt. He can definitely finish the lad…
