It's really not rocket science, but for whatever reason we continue as a Club to make an absolute dogs breakfast of recruitment.

We've (hopefully) reached rock-bottom and things can only improve....every route we've tried has failed, and failed miserably probably with the exception of when we acquired the likes of Tim Cahill, Marcus Bent, Mikel Arteta and Steven Pienaar etc. All we're comparatively 'cheap', all came from less high profile teams/leagues yet all of them busted a gut to wear the RBJ even though we were also outside the top echelons by then.
For me, we need to be looking and shopping the Championship, Ligue 1 and the lesser European markets like Belgium, Portugal and Croatia. There will be players there who have huge potential but relatively low transfer values and signing on fee's.....Belgium is awash with African talent, Portugal attracts a lot of Brazilian and Hispanic players hungry to make a name for themselves. We need to shop there and start taking more risk. Buying journeymen on the way down or outcasts from Spurs, Utd, Chelsea and the likes is wasteful, boring and part of our problem. It needs the fans to accept where we are and embrace any young or relatively unknown players without dismissing them before they've got 20-30 games under their belts in the Premier League. In our situation, other than developing our own youngsters I don't see any other way.

We need to accept DCL is a bit-part player and not our main man.

Stupid managment…Just like the past.
We always waste lots of time to chase for a single and important player.
We do not have a target man even is poor since 2 years ago.
Next week will be the golden week. I dont see any team allow their main players to leave after that.
If Weghorst and Ichenacho both are around 10m, just go ahead and sign one of them. Then, put the rest of the money to sign Ghonto and loan a CB or evans.

We may as well have kept Rondon as go for Weghorst I think.

Be nice if you tell us something about Everton Fc mate.
I did my bit and I was treated like a young Evertonian playing for the first team by the floppy, groaning Da‘s in the Park End. I prefer the look and feel of desperation in this thread, it’s more “Everton” so I’ve hung up my ITK boots. Just be assured that everyone behind the scenes is trying “really hard”… well, almost everyone.
