Another day I’m Chairman Bills toffee paradise.

Why would any player sign for us - were an absolute car crash of a club.

Young and danjuma must be mental.

…a contract and signing fee that sets a player up for life, a PL club, exposure to bigger and better things, terrific fan base, great training facility, decent part of the world to bring your family.

Much depends on other options open to a player but there’ll be talent that will see us as a great opportunity.

This fella must be next level bad if they begging people to bid.

Isnt this the guy they got in because they couldn't get Maupay?

If so its a bit weird that we're paying money plus a player. For what was their plan b for the player we're giving them:Blink:

Keifer Moore available, head in some of those crosses 😆
Would 100% get him in for the £3.5m they paid for him. Would suit our system 100x better than Maupay and would mean our tactic of lumping it to the striker and bypassing the midfield, as well as slinging the ball into the box, wouldn't be completely pointless. He's obviously not brilliant but horses for courses he'd do a job for us.

This is a low low bar. Proper relegation stuff signing him.

We just can’t see the talent, and if we do find any decent players then Bill thinks he knows better.

The most disheartening thing about Everton is that nothing changes, how many windows have we been through were we have gone after unrealistic targets only to fail and then panic in the last days and waste what little money we have on a player we don’t need in a position we have covered. It is the way we have done it for a number of years now, it is Bill’s way. One of my pet hates is when an organisation makes the same mistakes and then comes out with the line “lessons have been learnt “. The hierarchy of this club don’t have enough respect for the people who spend their hard earned money going to watch games to lie to them, instead the club glorifies in getting it wrong. We are told the architect of our past mistakes is being kept on to repeat those mistakes, Moshiri is making a virtue of incompetence. This club is on a downward trajectory, the squad isn’t good enough to compete at Premier League level, better players don’t want to pledge their future to a club that is in such disarray. The only thing that will arrest the slide is significant changes from the top down, if Bill Kenwright had an ounce of integrity he would have resigned and allowed the club to start to heal. He is the face of the club, he portrays what the club stands for, Everton’s image to the world is one of an old man bumbling his way along who is not quite sure what he is meant to be doing, who not only doesn’t have a clue about how to fix things but who doesn’t understand that that the club has a big problem because that problem is him. I am not suggesting that if he left tomorrow that we would undergo a metamorphosis into a serious Premier League outfit but it would start the change, a process would have started.

It's relegation stuff starting the season with just Maupay (DCL hasn't played a minute of pre-season). I'd obviously want a better striker than Moore, but we clearly have no money and aside from Dia (who I would actually take a punt on) I'm not seeing us linked to any strikers that would suit our system. We simply must sign a striker who suits our style of play.
