Look, I'd love us to sign Wharton and I don't think our midfield composition is great. But (if we assume Gomes and Gbamin will be punted out), we actually have Garner, Gana, Onana, Doucoure, Iwobi and Dele for midfield positions. Yes, I know they are all different types of player, but I just can't see the club investing money in that area over the summer, unless we sell Onana.

Whereas, Holgate is on the way out, and we only have Keane and Godfrey for CBs. I know Dyche inexplicably likes one of them, but I can't imagine he wouldn't want another CB in there.

Eh? What?

Everton and Notts forest are interested

Easy this rumour game.

Gana dacoure iwobi all going to acon i think so that is a risk,if we get any injury then with dele is no time scale when the lad will be back ready for the first team. Can see it as an area we will be looking at with maybe the birmingham lad jordan james a cheaper option to wharton.

Think Doucs has binned off playing for Mali.

Think Doucs has binned off playing for Mali.
He was supposedly unavailable during their last games due to playing through injury and having injections during our relegation run in. (According to the Mali Head Coach).

So think it’s a bit up in the air at the moment.

Hes just Keane with a bigger head for me.

But thankfully its not something we need to concern ourselves with, cos he wont be coming here.
Maguire for England is a far better player than the one at Manure and I think that's down in part to Pickford actually guiding him through games. He'd be great for us but he'd never come here, one for Spurs I reckon

Dele won't be featuring for a long time if at all. Iwobi isn't really a central midfielder which leaves JG, IGG and AO, one of whom will get injured. That's a pretty paltry set of options we've got there.
I agree, as I said, I don't think the compositionof the midfield is very good and it would concern me if Dyche wants to revert to his prefered 4-4-2. But we also don't have much money and (assuming Gray goes) still need 2 strikers, 2 wingers and a CB before we even consider the midfield.
