Well, I think our plan should probably be some sort of this:

Sign free agents:
Aaron Martin
Ryan Manning
Matt Doherty
Ellyes Skhiri
Adama Traore
Oliver McBurnie

Get rid/loan:
Virginia
Godfrey
Holgate
Mykolenko
Nkounkou
Gbamin
Gomes
Dele
Gray
Maupay
Simms

We also probably have to sell Onana to pick up some real money

Buy:
Tammy Abraham
Viktor Gyökeres
a winger like Jack Clarke
a centre half like Mo Salisu
a young DM like Emiliano Martinez

Squad:
Pickford/Begovic
Doherty/Patterson/Coleman - Tarkowski/Keane, Salisu/Branthwaite, Martin/Manning
Iwobi/Traore, Skhiri/Doucouré/Martínez, Gueye/Garner, McNeil/Clarke
Abraham/McBurnie, Gyökeres/DCL
Don't forget Tom Cannon too.

It's just an prime example of how disorganised the youth development is at the club

Isaac Price off to Standard Liege after turning a contract down.

Simms has 12 months left on his contract and will no doubt have a host of clubs after him in the championship. His future is up in the air. Do we sell him? Offer him a new deal to maximise a fee? Make him a 1st team player?

Dobbin did okay at Derby as a first full season of competitive football. He's more than likely going back out on loan.

Then you've got Tom Canon.

Where's the direction?
Sell Dobbin, keep Simms for now and keep Cannon.

Lewis Warrington needs to be kept as well, probably introduced into the first team.

Think it's sensible to trim the centre back position. It's the one position we've had arguably too much depth. But it does make me fearful considering we've lost 2 leaders in mina and coady. Knowing our luck tarkowski the unbreakable man will suddenly get an injury problem. But going down to 4 first team squad and then a fifth u21 is sensible in terms of the structure of how the wage budget is utllilised

Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Keane (considering he'd be deputising for tarkowski, I'd hope game time was limited) Godfrey and welch.

You could lose Godfrey too, if a cheap competent defender that could cover multiple positions became available.

Agreed. Although, the bless we get decent money for him, I’d keep Godfrey purely because he can cover either of the full back positions when needed. All of our money needs to go on forward thinking players.

MSP taking majority control with their investment should remove cash flow barriers to spending this summer. FFP still an issue but probably not as much as it was the past two summers, it's feasible we could see the club stretch to one or two higher value signings. New owners do always like to make their mark early.

Wrong side of 20, but yeah, I'd love him here.

Highly doubt Simms will cut it at Prem level, but if Maupay is getting picked for a run out ahead of you, then what's the point of staying here? If I was 22 years old and had only made about a dozen appearances in the Prem and was clearly not in anyones plans, I'd be out of here too.

He's 22 and had 3 starts away to Chelsea, Liverpool, United. And scored 1 goal against Chelsea.

Got a 1 in 3 average across playing in league 1, Championship, and Scottish Premiership.

But it's not about whether he'll make it or not...it's the structure around him having 12 months left on his contract and having no idea what to do with him that's the issue.

You'll know we're moving in the right direction if Godfrey is moved on.

The lad is an athlete of some description or another, but he is NOT a professional footballer and he never will be.
Absolute owned Haaland at there place and earnt us a draw the big pale blue one screamed like a baby once Godfrey had rinsed him at football.

Won’t be easy
Taking a loss on him is the issue here whereas
Holgate moving would be a positive in FFP terms
