Paul Mullin (Wrexham) would be brilliant for us. We had him as a youngster and so did Liverpool and we obviously both rightly let him go. He is now 29 and has come to his prime.

The goal is the same size and in the same place whatever league you play in and he knows where it is! He runs the channels and can hit it with both feet. When he isn’t making space for himself and running, running, running he’s in the box and doesn’t shy away from anything with his head. When he hits it, it’s usually 1st time (like Ancelotti taught DCL) and when not running into space he plays between the posts (like Ancelloti taught DCL). He’s not going to get PL football with Wrexham and remember where Vardy came from, for how much and what he did for a couple or three seasons. He is better than Gyokores and is a more all round footballer than Vardy.

Get him signed!
Not sure if this is serious or not. When Wrexham played Coventry and Sheffield, Mullin looked like he could play at the championship level, but it was also pretty clear he lacked the physical traits to excel there and would have obvious struggles in the prem. He’s just not built for that level. That said, if we were offered a straight swap of Mullin for Maupay I would take it without thinking. But that’s more to do with Maupay being worthless.

We were +25 million with player sales last season, we will get another 25 million from Kean, AND now the club will have a 120 million investment coming in. Thats 170 million, including a large amount on the FFP books. If we DONT spend this year than its painfully obvious that its not about lack of funding, but that the board and Moshiri are just milking the club for what they can get before cutting out, and another relegation battle is highly likely.

It’s not that we don’t have funds , it’s that we aren’t allowed to spend them.

Bolasie 27m
Siggy 45m
Morgan 20m
Walcott 20m
Mina 27m
Gbamin 20m
Niasse 13m
Williams 11m
Tuson 27m
Gomes 20m
Sandro5m

And so far we have recouped 2m from the Morgan sale.

All the rest have either left for free or looking like they will run their contracts down

That’s more than 230m lost in players transactions on those players.

That’s why we can’t spend…

Even with Richy, we made 10m on him when the average price of a prem player increased by more than 20m ….

We are hamstrung atm and will be for a couple of years.

Trouble is I don’t think our scouting team have passports or access to the internet and don’t leave the Uk.
Correct but just wanted to make the point there are not bargains to be had in the championship. Remember us being quoted a huge sum for that lad from Hull last season who ended up going to Brentford and barely featured

This is the sort of transfer we should be looking at.

Good footballers that can use the football and have good brains .

Players that have performed well in the championship and that are young is what I would be chasing.
Others will continuously say no to united cast offs

The investment does not impact FFP, we posted losses of £195m over 3 years

We are a long way from financial freedom
