Yeah, know it’s through necessity but he’s doing a good job of squeezing out a million here and a million there. Cannon would be another example. Stuff we should’ve been doing even in the best of times.

After selling Gordon for 45m he shouldn’t be in a position where he needs to squeeze out these amounts to fund down payments on first team players, it’s ridiculous really. But he’s doing a decent job of it.

A big challenge for him this summer, is how he can do senior deals - last year i felt Lampard his profile and ability to talk a good game were enabling drawing factors for players to sign. Im led to believe, he only really managed the latter part of the window last summer, in fact heard he had to put down some boundaries with others - curiously that brought Onana and Garner.

Be interesting to see how he does in the coming weeks, despite the impatience on here, we were only ever doing our main business come Aug given our context.
