I think if we don't make additions we will struggle if we do we will be fine. We look more structured under Dyche. But yes we do need those additions

I also think we could survive, maybe even a few spots above the drop, but the larger feeling is that we are not ensuring safety longterm. All the decisions are to ward off the immediate, when the majority of clubs in a similar table position are also having an eye towards the future. Splitting the difference in immediate impact and long term maturation of talent. We are treating those as two separate columns in our links and limited business. Beyond this season the trajectory compared to the counterparts looks grim. A couple additions this window may be all thats needed to get to safety but Im worried about the seasons coming. I dont see enough in the pipeline to think that we will keep this charade of quick fixes going.

As frustrating as it is, and I’m super frustrated, we’ll not see any significant incomings until we bank some cash from potential sales.

Absolutely embarrassing. Take a punt on a few young signings at the top academies if we don’t have the team in place to negotiate.

I wouldn’t take 15th now, no chance. I expect things to look a lot different in the next week or 2.

If DCL can play 25+ games and we bring in the lad from Sporting. Add in 1 of Sulamena or Gnoto, maybe both if Sulemena is on loan and then loan someone like Harry Maguire (a much better and fitter version of Mina) then we’d be a very strong side and IMO, the surprise package of the season.

Obviously lot of ifs and buts there but something like that improves us a lot without a huge outlay and from all the things where hearing, it’s the type of business we seem to be looking to do.

When Dyche spoke so firmly about the need for us to be realistic, I think he was alluding to the financial ruins that Everton football club is built upon.

Given the circumstances, I think we've done very well this window to strengthen in a lot of areas that we struggled with last season. I'd like to see one or two more faces come in for sure, but I also think that if Patterson and DCL can remain fit all season - we'll be safe and probably push into mid table pretty comfortably.

Know they can easily afford it with the sales they've made but interesting to see them moving away from their blueprint and spending like the big boys.
