As a loan .. Difficult to tell whether his heart would be in it and whether he's a bit too big-time-charlie for us now. Obviously it's very speculative they'd take 100k a week.
Not a chance anyone earning at least £200k a week (if not probably closer to £300k given the mad contracts at United) is dropping their wage by 50% minimum. We barely survived with Keggers in the side for a dozen-or-so games, god help us if we give Slabhead a full season.

We're not even linked to Lingard, stop

Brighton scouting team: finding diamonds in the third division of the Paraguay league for pennies.
Everton scouting team*: "let's give Southampton and Leeds a call to see who is available for under 15 mil".

(*and by "team" it's probably just three blokes in an office using the Football Manager 2021 database)
We'd probably have had better signings if we had people working with football manager

Utd, chelsea and the other top 6 will have difficulty in shifting their players, just like we’re on a smaller scale. Realistically who’s playing the money utd would want for maguire and his wages. I doing too clubs in Italy could afford it
I don’t want him but read they was willing to pay him £10m to leave so think they may be happy getting what they could for him and getting his wages off the books. Not sure what his expectations of wages would be coming from united but he will need to drop his salary probably by half if he wants to be playing after united I hope we don’t sign him, Darren bent was saying we could yesterday on talk sport I hope not he’s a very expensive donkey.

See where i say on loan and for half his salary 🤣

And anyone who thinks Keane is better or even on the same level, is off their nut
They are both walking calamities, and neither one should be within ten miles of the club, let alone on the pitch (there's a reason Real Madr- I mean, West Spam seem to be leading the "chase" for this bang-average schmuck who found his level marking Pietro the fisherman in a friendly against San Marino B).

And any loan deal would surely require us picking up his wages in full. Let's not pretend United have a desperate need to get him off the books or would happily cover half the cost of his wages for us out of the goodness of their business hearts. #MaguireOut

I don’t think we will
He just ticks all the dyche boxes
British, experienced, strong in the air, good in both boxes and suits a defensive style.
And dyche will want a partner for Tarkowski.

He's actually been linked to Bayern and Madrid recently...

Make of that what you will.

I reckon Dyche will lean to British-players where he can to be honest - thinking of relative successes he's had with Tarks, Pope, Tripper, Ings, Keane, McNeill - perhaps Thelwell does too given Garner, McNeill, Coady.

The club don't seem amazing at settling over-seas players - even Richy had already been here a while.
Was trying to think of relatively successful Everton players that have come directly from abroad in the last 20 years or so. A mixed bag.

Fellaini, Yobo, Gravesen, Digne, Mina (sort of), Rodriguez, Allen, Deulofeu, Gomes (sort of), Onana (hopefully), Eto'o, Donovan (if English-speaking countries count).

(forgot Pienaar)

We don't seem to do a great job - most of our success stories were already here or native.
