Kieran Maguire drops £16m Everton reveal as record-breaking deal agreed

Everton signing a new shirt sleeve sponsorship deal will help the club avoid another ‘close dance’ with FFP.

That is the view of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about the Toffees’ ‘absolutely critical’ need to increase revenue streams

That pays for maupay

Didnt say i was a scout, i had quick look just to see his stats and was not impressed, looks like myers has done the same.Is just my view does not mean i am right about him. Is what the forum here is for not all going to agree on what players to bring in
Yeah - just saying that you could go somewhere just as quickly and form a more accurate view.
The speed at which people form an opinion on players on here is staggering.

I’m glad you’re not one of our scouts.
Literally takes the same amount of time to look up a player’s stats on whoscored.com instead of Wikipedia.

Wiki will only ever give you total appearances. Whoscored (and others) will tell you how many games he started and how many total minutes he played.

In the PL last season Daka only started 13 games and played 1181 minutes in total. In that time he got 4 goals and 4 assists, making 8 goal involvements - a goal of assist every 147 minutes - better than every other game.

We’d kill for a player who could do that.

In all comps over his time at Leicester he has 22 goal involvements (14 goals, 8 assists) in 3106 minutes (which equates to 34.5 full matches).
Again we don’t have a player who is producing anything like that kind of output.
He looked great at RB Leipzig, including in Europe, was being looked at by a lot of decent sides and cost Leicester good money.

It's not quite worked for him at Leicester but, like with Iheanacho, basic stats don't tell the full story. Like you said, he hasn't had that many minutes and has done okay, as opposed to appallingly, which is how it looks on face value.

Plus, he would suit a proper counter-attacking side (ironically like Leicester were under Ranieri) more than he suited the style of play under Rogers, who he spent most of his time under.

He wouldn't be my first choice, but he is strong and fast, scored a lot of goals in Austria and would likely suit Dyche's system. Might not be the worst shout if we are struggling for a forward, but he has struggled in the PL so far compared to his ability. Sometimes moves don't work out. Maybe a move to another PL team might don't for him.

Wow. What a busy day it has been at Everton today!! Not only have we been “plotting” Daka, we have also been “monitoring” McGuire. I can’t imagine what it’s like to work at such a dizzying pace
