We have less than 24 hours to sign a player for money otherwise we are the only club in the prem that hasn’t spent a single penny to sign a player on a permanent basis

Chairman Bill leading the way with his experience and expertise.
This is why we splurge money at him !?!.

We do need some speed, our pace last season with McNeil, Iwobi and Maupay leading the attack was shocking. And we’re likely losing Gray, who is fairly slow with the ball but at least offers a threat when running down balls from Pickford.

But I don’t think we should target Daka for it. Knew where the goal was in Austria but really hasn’t impressed here to this point. They paid a decent amount so I doubt it’d be cheap?

Everton are close to signing Daka, Kenwright said “we couldn’t believe that they agreed to sell Bukayo, an England international and for only 15 mil. I asked if I could speak to Arteta to let him know how grateful I am for letting this deal happen but they said he was busy.”

But sometimes moves fail and a good player’s stock drops and a move elsewhere reignites them.

I don't really like using old Everton examples, but people on here seem to love it so, a good example would be Steven Pienaar. He was really highly rated at Ajax in a lesser league, doing the business. Gets a move to Dortmund in a bigger league and it was a bit of a disaster for him, his stock fell massively, moves to us and was absolutely brilliant for years.

Daka had something at Leipzig. Could see him suiting Dyche's style tbh.

But, again would stress that it's not an ideal signing, just one that I have a gut feeling might be okay for us.
