Similar stats to Mane for the same club in the same league.

Mo Salah scored only 9 in 47 for Basil
& Only 2 for Chelsea.

Would only be a fit for us if we intend on using in the right way though.
Yeah but 'Mane' took to the premiership like ducks to water..

From what I've seen of the lad, he just doesn't look like he fits to the Premiership. ( I could be wrong!! )

We've obviously just got different opinions on the lad, Which is normal for a Forum..

But sometimes moves fail and a good player’s stock drops and a move elsewhere reignites them.

I don't really like using old Everton examples, but people on here seem to love it so, a good example would be Steven Pienaar. He was really highly rated at Ajax in a lesser league, doing the business. Gets a move to Dortmund in a bigger league and it was a bit of a disaster for him, his stock fell massively, moves to us and was absolutely brilliant for years.

Daka had something at Leipzig. Could see him suiting Dyche's style tbh.

But, again would stress that it's not an ideal signing, just one that I have a gut feeling might be okay for us.
Just realised I put Leipzig 🙈.

Freudian slip, I meant Salzburg.

If we sign Daka it’s got to be about counter attacking (which I think is what Dyche is heading us towards) and not like Leicester with possession and slow build up.

What relegated Leicester, which felt like a mystery given their squad, was their midfield who were all a bit lightweight and could neither connect with the attack or help the defence. They had pace up front but played slow possession football.

The midfield didn’t match the attack and couldn’t recover to help the defence.

Mo Salah didn’t take to the PL either until he found a team that played to his strengths and got him into one v ones.

Richarlison looks rubbish now.

What is important for us is to have an identity and a way of playing.

I suspect (and could be wrong) that Dyche wants us to be good in transition. When we lose it, get in shape, when we win it, pounce. Not all of our players suit that yet but that’s what the transfer strategy will be.

Remember Salah got sold off by Chelsea at a young age and not deemed he would progress
Just like the best midfielder in the world

I do believe that some players fail because they are set up to fail. I’ll be honest I am not convinced by Daka. But if we are going after a clown, let it be one with pace. I can at least see the direction Dyche wants to go, but it won’t happen until Iwobi is booted into oblivion. He is the destroyer of counter attacks.

Lol’z

Not once have I defended lampard in this exchange, just stating very basic facts

So, I take what I posted was the truth then

1 manager won 4 in 21
1 manager won 5 in 18

And yet, the point of my exchange was quite simple. But it seems to have bypassed a few
See your point Chris but also @GrandOldTeam, Dyche stopped the losing expectation in the team, if Lampard would have stayed we would have been down in April
Look again at the losses, Fulham at home was a huge disappointment but all else was really as expected or hoped for

Remember the most important part of that Stat graph - AUSTRIA
Luckily for Dortmund's scouts, they weren't so narrow minded when analysing the merits of signing Haaland. Rumour has it that the lad is pretty decent. And before you say Daka has flopped at Leicester, was De Bruyne a success at Chelsea when Wolfsburg took him? Should City have steered clear of bringing him back to English football?
