Summer transfer window 2023

Yeah i popped into the Onana thread that the £47mil for Lavia and the £110 for Caicedo increases Onana's value.

Halfway between the two is £78.5mil which i think would have been reasonable a few weeks ago. Next summer after a good season we could be expecting crazy offers.
Just got to hold off the wolves over the next 19 days. Completely agree though - he is our next massive payday.

Why not wait and see, give our manager some respect and see how it pans out? Spouting baseless negative foam achieves nothing but create negativity
I can't see where the negativity is coming from. SD only took over halfway through the season and changed form dramatically even without DCL for the most part. I don't see us struggling with relegation this season despite some newspaper columnists tipping us to go down.

It's my last radiotherapy session today so I'm very upbeat, but that has nothing to do with my positivity regarding the upcoming season.

Some wishfull thinking going on here.....why would Chelsea go for Onana.? he wasn't even on their radar. Lavi is the one.

There was tentative links between Chelsea and Onana as recently as June. It was Sacha Tavolieri, I believe. He was the guy who broke the Onana to Everton news BTW.

Tentative links you say....after all these sagas this window. The journos are the last people we should trust but I will take your word for it.

First and foremost, mate I hope this goes well now and long-term. Football is a game, whereas real-life is what actually counts.

Secondly, I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment. I do have a few concerns, namely our defence and the slowness of our transfer dealings, yet...

... personally I feel Dyche showed enough last season to suggest he will get a tune out of what we've got. It ain't going to be pretty, but we'll be safe.

Good luck mate

I've got a feeling Chelsea will come in for Onana now they appear to have lost Caicedo to the RS.
It certainly provides Brighton with more fire power in the market. Both they and West Ham are losing quality but will potentially mean they look at strengthening in other areas which could step on our toes. Probably wise for us to get a bloody move on. I can’t believe how much this feels like old Kenwright transfer windows. Back to ‘poor’ Everton.

Great news about your last session. Certainly lifts the mood.

How can call football be called a competitive sport when it’s so lob-sided and in favour of the big clubs. Liverpool spending £200m, Arsenal spending 200m, Man United spending 200m, Chelsea spending 200m and the smaller clubs can’t spend a bean because of some stupid rule.
It wasn’t long ago we were in the other group spending those sums though
