I can't see where the negativity is coming from. SD only took over halfway through the season and changed form dramatically even without DCL for the most part. I don't see us struggling with relegation this season despite some newspaper columnists tipping us to go down.

It's my last radiotherapy session today so I'm very upbeat, but that has nothing to do with my positivity regarding the upcoming season.
Good luck with it mate, I agree with you as it goes,Dyche wouldn't have been my choice of manager, but, he has made us unpleasant to play against. Given the lack of quality and squad depth, that's probably as much as we can expect at the moment. I think his brief is just to ensure that we go into the new stadium as a premier league team and we will see where we go from there, hopefully a takeover and full on reboot.

Anyway, back on topic, I hope Chermiti is confirmed today.

How can call football be called a competitive sport when it’s so lob-sided and in favour of the big clubs. Liverpool spending £200m, Arsenal spending 200m, Man United spending 200m, Chelsea spending 200m and the smaller clubs can’t spend a bean because of some stupid rule.

Don’t bring this up on here, you’ll get reminded that 6 years ago we spent a bit of money on players and therefore all discussion about whether football is now fair is out the window and just one big conspiracy.

it is crazy i never get it how you can spend 100M+ on a defensive midfielder. I mean Harry Jane wins you games but for Calceido or Rice there are similar options out there which are not so pricy. Agent Gana it is lol

It wasn’t long ago we were in the other group spending those sums though

Our record buy is Siggurdson and was 6 seasons ago. It also came at the same time we sold Lukaku and Stones.

How many players at the top 6 clubs now have transfer fees higher than that one? Absolutely loads, some could field a whole team of players more expensive than our record signing. Caicedo and Rice are almost triple that number.

There’s just no way our small window of spending can be compared to what the top 6 have done for decades now.

Congratulations mate. You’ve smashed it

I mean if we somehow came out of this window with Danjuma, Young, Chermiti, Gnonto and Ekitike, you’d have to be very satisfied with the dealings which have taken place.

Would expect Demarai Gray to go, but Gray, Mina, Simms out isn’t a bad summer in terms of replacements.

Half of what we spent in that crazy summer was the 80m from Lukaku. And The season before we got 50m for Stones. In the last 12 months we have got 150m for Richarlison, Gordon, and kean. It’s absolutely baffling.

We just don't generate enough income. Go into a sports shop anywhere in Europe and you'll find the tops six's shirts on racks. Ask for one of ours and it's "what's an Everton"?

Ekitike is maybe asking too much?
