This seems the most likely scenario at present. Wouldn't it be great if we didn't have to swallow Adams though? If Gnoto comes in soon, plus Sulemana if Gray goes then Che Everton Adams in for Maupay out isn't too hard to swallow
He's a very good player, but to say he's a bargain at 111 million pounds is ludicrousDo u not think he is an outstanding player? What exactly have I said that makes u say that?
R U know?? OK m8Nope, I am 54
this is the same liverpool who bought a 22 year old naby keita for a club record deal at the time for over 50 mil and he left them on a free transferHe (Caicedo) is only 21 and is an outstanding player. He could be in the heart of the RS midfield for 10 years. It could turn out to be a bargain signing. Further, he will have a big market value in 3 years as long as he keeps fit and maintains his standards. Football transfers are going up like everything else in the world. Villa is selling Ramsey to Burnley (a newly promoted team) for 14m + a buyback. That seems mad money for a kid that has never played one minute of PL or any top flight football. Bournemouth just paid 25m for 19 year old Alex Scott from Bristol. If these players can command this type of transfer fee then 100m for a proven quality player doesn't seem too ridiculous
Not really, not since some speculative links earlier in the window. It just strikes me as an extremely Everton move - a deadline day loan for a young, versatile attacker after missing out on several targets. He seems surplus to requirements at United, but they won't want to let him go permanently after his good season in the championship, a prem loan would make sense and he's all but guaranteed game time at EvertonIs there a reason anyone would think we are signing him? Has he been linked?
Yeah when we were reportedly looking for about 60m for Onana it looked like Caicedo would go for about 85 max. The Caicedo number I’d say puts Onana about 80.I don't care how good Brighton were last season, paying £150m for 2 of their midfielders is insane business. Looking at it this way, £75.5m for Caicedo is a lot but he'll probably be alright, £75.5m for MacAllister is a mad price though even how good he is. Think yer man is right, they've absolutely had their pants pulled down, even after they got their Saudi blood money in clearly dodgy deals from Gerrard.
In a world where Caicedo is £111m Onana is at least £70m, if not £80m easily.
I didn't say he was a bargain. I said he could be in the heart of the RS midfield for 10 years. It could turn out to be a bargain. He is also only 21 so there is lots of scope to sell him at a profit in a few years. The PL TV money is rising by 50% at the next contract renewal (it has already been agreed), this just increases the rate of inflation on player purchases. He's a very good player, but to say he's a bargain at 111 million pounds is ludicrous
No player who offers little goal threat should be worth close to that amount. £100m + is a fee that should only be for elite goalscorers or creative players.

He's crocked,so yes.Anyone else think we're going to end up signing Amad Diallo on transfer deadline day?
I disagree with that. Clubs buy players to help them win the league and compete in the Champions League etc as this is where they get a lot of money. GKs and defenders and mids are just as important as goal scores if a club wants to be successful, they just don't get the media coverage. Buffon was sold to Juve for about 45m 22 years ago. He's a very good player, but to say he's a bargain at 111 million pounds is ludicrous

Hi mate, if you are a Villa fan then im the Queen of Serbia.I didn't say he was a bargain. I said he could be in the heart of the RS midfield for 10 years. It could turn out to be a bargain. Can't disagree with any of that.I don't care how good Brighton were last season, paying £150m for 2 of their midfielders is insane business. Hi lads, if you wish to talk about the massively overpriced midfielder Big Red have just bought, may I suggest you use the following threads.
2month ban for the next person who mentions his name.
