When Dyche was asked about his 442 reputation last year he talked about how it was not his preferred shape but often the best use of his resources at Burnley given they did not have much of the ball and needed outlets.

Realistically we will do well to get 20 games from DCL starting/off bench as they take it slowly bringing him back and are super cautious with any setback. We would inevitably see a lot of Beto on his own through the middle in a 433.

IF (again, big if) we add him and Gnonto/other versatile wide player we would have a lot of tactical flexibility. Dyche has never had that luxury as a manager. It is no fairer to prejudge how he will set us up any more than prejudging players before they put on a shirt.

I have never been a Dyche fan but he deserves to be judged on what he does not what we assume he might do.
I agree, if he finds a way to make it work without making us a flat 4-4-2 side, then fair play. However, I can only go on his previous record at this stage, and my concern with signing Beto is that it would increase the likelihood of us playing thay way.

None of these players are. Bellingham, Rice, Caicedo, Grealish etc. none of them are prime Zidane are they? Luka Modric could still toy with all of them at walking pace and he’s 10 years past his prime. These players are good clearly but I just don’t see world class players there.

England should be absolutely dominating at international level moving forward with Rice Bellingham Foden Grealish but I’d wager that any decent opposition midfield from a top European or South American nation will easily keep ball from them at the next intentional tournament as soon as the knockouts get underway. I just don’t see it with these players.
Bellingham is something else to be fair, he's no Zidane but who is? He's a one of the beat midfielders of all time

These lads move fast.

Actually a very promising compilation that. Play style reminds me a lot of Alexander Isak, good dribbler, pacy, strong, floats out to the left hand side and can beat a man. Looks fairly unselfish too so could play in a front 2. Not too many headers or having the ball lumped up to him from the keeper on there though so we'd need to find out how decent he is at that. Hope there's something in it as he's far more exciting that Che Adams.

Hopefully can get deals for beto and gnonto done quicker. So we can push on with getting players out of the club and then maybe look to bring in more to just add more depth cm cb. Just want us to go into the last day with the important deals done

Dr. Jennings (politics Twitter) is NOT impressed with your ITKery 😄...

(Although I'm sure he would have made a specific exception for this forum if Twitter character limits had allowed.... 🤔)

For this season I agree wholeheartedly. But we should also be signing players who we feel can continually improve from that point. Can Beto? Not sure, but hey, if he's not Che Adams I'm happy.
He's just 25 for a striker he's coming into his prime (maybe) over the next 4 years. If we take him on loan with an obligation for 5 year contract that's about right.

Agree, looks decent him….got athleticism, reasonably technical and can finish

If United are serious we should be absolutely fleecing them for all those times they’ve absolutely shafted us.

‘Want our 6th choice CB for 30 million? We’ll just wait until the last day of the window, tell you no leaving you absolutely screwed, then let him leave on loan in the next window after not playing him’

As Fergie would say, I wouldn’t sell that lot a virus. Can add Chelsea and Spurs to that list as well of clubs that have taken the proverbial with us for absolutely zero need. It’s not like we’re even competition for them. Quoting us ridiculous sums for fringe players they don’t even need, then even if we agree to pay it they still pull the plug. or buying up a load of players they don’t need in the same position just to screw us (Levy’s favourite trick)

If United ask for Onana just slap 100 mill down as the price then if they agree to pay it tell them we’ll consider it until the last moment in the window then tell them to F off.
Wish I could like this twice. Don't forget blocking the Sergio Romero loan for no reason, even his wife was fuming on Insta.
