DCL was given leave of absence for the birth of his child. We've signed new strikers (danjuma - like Richy can play up front) and have been linked to more. We were very unlucky not to win today. We will play a lot worse this year and win.

I'm not saying that we won't necessarily need the relegation thread as I'm not sure the team is good enough to be comfortably safe from relegation. But the bed wetting on here today has been embarrassing.

Mate............. This was Fulham at HOME. They don't come much easier than that on opening day.

That line up of attackers is £100mil+ now.

We go with the 4 'attackers', CF, 2 wide players and an attacking midfielder.

I'm happy with McNeil on the left but we need 3 more: CF, RW, ACM. We need to sign at least 2 of these asap.

Yes his job is difficult, but it's difficult for 95% of people who work in player recruitment. The fact it's not an easy job is not an excuse and he's judged on results.

It's the second year in a row he's left his manager to start a season with diabolical forward options. It's totally unacceptable, and will more than likely end up with the inevitable sacking of yet another manager. How can he watch that shambolic performance in front of goal today and think he has done a good job.

We need BK, FM and KT all to go so we can get some meaningful change at this club, and then move forward.

We needed both. Today we had Onana and Gana in midfield and Garner on the right.

If we didnt sign them we would have Gomes, Gbamin and Davies :o

Zat, people conveniently forget this. 2021/22 we were in the position we were in because of having a shoddy defence and no midfield*, so it was a priority.

Due to what occurred with Richarlison leaving and Dom being injured, we had to bring a forward in too, but the defence and midfield were bigger problems.

Thelwell and co. now are hopefully trying to deal with the glaring deficiency up front, and if they are unable to/don't do that then they deserve criticism this year.

*A rubbish manager, too.

Didn’t he get stretchered off with a knee injury yesterday? If he did then yes he probably would still score against us.
