I'm not sure Dyche has been fully alert to how we do things at Everton. NEVER let players go BEFORE you get players in here...as the promised quality players just don't materialise! With Mina and Coady off...I'd be very surprised if we don't start next season with Tark, Kean and Holgate! And when one of those gets injured/sent off it'll be a toss up between playing Demarai as makeshift striker or makeshift centre back!! 🤔
Or we could try being proactive for once and have a go at pretending to operate like a football club who has a plan...?!?

(I take that back. I've clearly had one too many babychams...)

Begovic no longer wanted to do the commute from London where he lives so no surprise he didn’t re-sign. Another position needs filling.

I remember a few years back Joe Rodon was pretty rated at Swansea. Regular call ups for Wales and then Spurs signed him for about 12m.

Played a few games for them but then faded out of favour and been on loan to Rennes where he was a regular up to the World cup break.

Still only 25 so that's the type of profile I can see Dyche thinking he can get more out of and the club agreeing (season long loan will probably make sense rather than getting fleeced by Levy on permanent deal).

Would say Djed Spence aswell but he's totally unproven at top level and possibly better as wing back.
So basically, lets just sign the cabbages that Spurs splooged a wedge of moolah on and can't get in the team ahead of Davison Sanchez or Emerson Royal.

(I'm actually surprised that isn't our strategy now I think about it...)

Never knew 35 and 40 were the same age.
You see that squiggly line before the 40, that means about or approximately; but sure, nit pick away over a small detail to be pedantic. Can't believe we've not offered a contract to a backup keeper who will be "only" 36 in 17 days!!!! (Well 16 days, 1 hour and 2 minutes. I'd hate to be inaccurate) 👍

Because our best players generate the most money, and as you may have seen we are brassed for cash plus they’re the best players of the 4th worst team in The premier league. Not exactly the boast of the century.

But they leave the biggest shoes to fill, which we never manage to do.

We sold lukaku and never replaced him
Sold Richy and never replaced him

We need to get the dead wood out , keep the few decent players we have , then make sure we are in this league when our ffp changes and the new ground is ready

Nobody ,

But I think we would get 15m
Holgate 10m
Godfrey 15m
Maupay 10m
Gray 10m
Just out of interest, which clubs do you think would be in for those players at those values?

(Gray for £10m I grant you is not unrealistic, but the rest? I doubt anyone would pay anything close to those numbers for what is essentially Championship fodder - assuming they'd even be willing to leave of course).

Mina is 28 and probably looking for his last big contract. No player in that situation would agree to a 1 year deal on less pay when there could be a 3-4 year deal on offer somewhere else. Where would be the financial sense in that.
Agree. Hope he finds a club willing to pay the same wages for 16 or so appearances a season. If he could stay injury free he would be first choice but it's a lot of cash for a part time player.
