Absolutely don't want to be letting it drag on when competing against a club with over £100m to spend. Everton need to get this done. If Spurs want him, Leeds will obviously try to get him to go there given how annoyed they are with us.

Everton have opened talks with PSG over a loan deal with an option to buy for 21-year-old French forward Hugo Ekitike, but face competition from AC Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt. (RMC Sport - in French)


Everton may have been handed a boost in any pursuit of Paris Saint Germain forward Hugo Ekitike who is now considering leaving. That’s via journalist Fabrice Hawkins who shared the update on X.

Hawkins said that Ekitike had been keen to stay in Paris but is now considering his position after signals from the PSG hierarchy.

Hawkins said: “AC Milan, Everton and Frankfurt are interested in Hugo Ekitike. “PSG haven’t received any written offers yet.

“Despite his desire to stay in Paris, the latest signals sent by his management push him to reflect.”


Everton have taken English striker Malik Mothersille on trial after the 19-year-old failed to agree a new contract at Chelsea. (Athletic). The football news outlet reported on 14 August that Mothersille has been training with Everton, and came off the bench in their Under-21s clash with Liverpool, after he failed to agree to a contract with Chelsea.


There is an expectation that Leeds United could lower their asking price on wantaway forward Wilfried Gnonto, with Everton interested, according to Jacque Talbot. According to the journalist, taking to his personal Twitter account (14 August), the Italian international is pushing for a move to Everton this summer after the Whites were insistent on Friday 11 August that he wasn’t for sale.


Everton have been linked with a summer move for Udinese striker Beto numerous times in recent weeks, and a fresh update has now emerged regarding his possible switch to England. According to Il Messaggero Veneto [via Sport Witness], Everton are still "thinking" about making a move for Beto before deadline day arrives, seeing him as a strong option to bring in. Instead of signing him permanently though, the Merseysiders are thought to be considering a loan move for the Portuguese giant, with a viewing to signing him for good for £22m next summer.


Manchester United have launched an approach to sign Everton midfielder Amadou Onana this summer, according to the Guardian. The British newspaper reported on its website on Monday (14 August), that while the Toffees want £50million+ for the Belgium international, 21, they do not need to sell to sign a new striker this summer.


Everton are now strongly considering a move for Leicester City striker Patson Daka as they look to strengthen their forward line, according to Football Transfers. The online news outlet shared on 15 August that, following their signing of Jack Harrison on loan from Leeds, Everton are looking at deals for Daka, as well as Leeds’ Willy Gnonto and Udinese forward Beto


Southampton are persisting with their efforts to sign Everton’s Mason Holgate but they haven’t been able to strike a deal yet, as per the Daily Mail. Southampton have been linked with a whole host of players this summer and one name frequently mentioned as a Saints target is Holgate. He’s down the pecking order at Everton and could be on the move before the window slams shut on September 1st.


Crystal Palace are considering making a £10 million bid for Che Adams. That’s according to the Evening Standard, who have reported that Everton could face tough competition for the Southampton striker.


Alex McCarthy, the stalwart Southampton goalkeeper, finds himself amid a tug of war. Both Crystal Palace and Everton have turned their gazes towards him, especially after his initial dalliance with Luton fell through. (Evening Standard)​
