Summer transfer window 2023

Everton could do a lot worse than buy the young lad sat on the opposition bench yesterday, Cameron Archer. Villa willing to let him leave to continue his development (but with a buy back clause), is a natural finisher and would cost about the same as Adams. If he linked up with Danjuma, think the goal threat would improve heaps...

We've now got a crunch home game in week 3 against a rival

You really shouldn't be in must win/must not lose territory in week 3, but here we are.

Before the season I said to a few people we need 3/4 points minimum from the first 3 games - the last few seasons has dictated the fanbase is on edge.

Incredible we started the season then with only Ashley Young coming in at left back - you'd have thought they'd have learned their lesson after last season when they decided to write off 6/7 games without a striker.

It's why the protests and criticism of the hierarchy should not have stopped over the summer.

The recruitment this summer has made no sense, and wouldn't have happenned at any other top flight club. But I'm also equally frustrated at how Dyche is dealing with new players, and Demari Gray. We need every option we can get, so stop putting obstacles in the way like his fitness argument, because it clearly isn't a factor for the senior players.

We need 2 forwards to come in, and we need at least one of them before Wolves. It's a massive game, and we need action now.

Kevin Thelwell's role must now come under serious questions. The judge us at the end of the window rhetoric is not acceptable, and the lack of urgency this summer has been unacceptable too,

Again they won’t someone in the middle who is sort plug & play which is Adam’s we have chemite for youngsters/sims role! I’ve actually heard Leeds want archer!

But if the plan is to sell our best players for 3/4 yrs and buy young players and have a slow rebuild while we sort our finances out Ajd settle into the new ground, hopefully with new owners. Then you need a different manager to dyche imo.

Not saying potter, but let’s get a manger who plays the modern way and not this, if you can run all day and are big and strong you’re in
In an ideal world yes but do you believe this squad can play progressive football? Lampard failed trying. I don't see it I see being solid and counter attacking or direct as our only chance. I am disappointed that Dyche hasn't made us more solid with a preseason of work, but the injuries have hampered us and the club hasn't helped him, if we had a decent striker in we would have won last week, instead after yesterday's shambles we have thrown away another start to the season, shocking and very concerning.

...and regardless of what happens against Wolves, this club's hierarchy have sacrificed willingly the first available 9 points on offer by sending us out onto the pitch with one forward in just one of those games - and he isn't even fit for purpose.

A club that's serious about survival would have been gunning for 6/7 points out of these first 3 games to give a chronically unconfident organisation the boost it needed after two relegation campaigns on the trot.

But here we are now with 2 defeats and a game against Wolves looking like a relegation 6 pointer AND without even a realistic chance IMO of landing another forward before the window closes.

No, sorry, as far as I'm concerned a decision has been made right at the end of last season to enter into another relegation campaign and see if we can work the third survival campaign in a row. That's what our spending tells me. Loud and clear.

Whatever about Adams and Gnonto now at this stage they look to be coming even when the deals should've been done 2 months ago instead of dragging our feet, after yesterday for the love of Christ go out and get Harry Maguire on loan. If we aren't going to trust Branthwaite and need someone more senior to Keane to replace then just go get it done. Anyone who's watched these first 2 games of Keane and still wouldn't want Maguire need their heads checked, we cannot continue like this.

Hopefully once Gnonto comes in Garner can go back in midfield as he seems to be the only one interested at the minute out of all the options, would be hard to find an option on loan for midfield too that'd come to us I think.

€37k per week. So a bit less in ££s

Should have been all over that.
Probably didn't want to be part of a club that apparently plays Mortal Kombat in real life as training to be fair. No doubt he'll play loads for them. We must have the worst medical setup in the country paired with the most amount of training injuries.

Hmm 🤔 I wouldn’t say we’ve drag our feet! We can’t force players or clubs to give us the players where not Chelsea 😂

Harry turned down West Ham so he’s definitely not coming here! I doubt he’d even answer the phone. We will end up with holding or dier

I solely blame the owners for putting us in this mess! Thirwell at least trying too get the right type of players without overly paying too much!

Adams and Gnonto could've both been signed for under £40m in June, easily. Instead we've waited for Leeds to lose half their squad which makes them reluctant to sell again and we've waited for Adams to start the Championship really well making him harder to replace for Southampton. We've easily added £10m onto the combined fees just by waiting around.

I think closer to deadline day if no other clubs are in for Maguire then he'd come to us, he won't play for United and he'll start every week for us, he knows full well he won't go to the Euros after another year of not playing and that's what's most important for him. We'd be mad not to throw everything at getting him.

At this point now, i would be seeing if United want a deal for Maguire & mctominay for Onana.

People are guna scream at me, but how ppl cant see that Maguire would become our best defender by a mile.
