Everton have had no encouragement from Leeds United in their pursuit of winger
Willy Gnonto, according to The Athletic.
The agent of
Willy Gnonto has admitted that Leeds United continue to 'block' a potential transfer to Everton. Via the
Yorkshire Post, Gnonto's agent Claudio Vigorelli admitted the situation is currently complicated. He said:
“The situation is complicated. Leeds are blocking the requests we have in the Premier League.”
Everton are now showing an interest in signing Manchester United's
Harry Maguire, and journalist Rudy Galetti has now revealed whether the defender is likely to be on the move this summer.
“Everton showed interest in him in the last few days, but nothing concrete at the moment. Saudi Arabia is not an option. So, as it stands, the chances to remain in Manchester grow day after day."
Che Adams should avoid making the switch from Southampton to Everton this season as the two clubs could swap places next season, according to Ryan Taylor.
“I think he would be a great asset to Southampton if he were to stay. If I was Adams, I would stay because I think joining Everton right now is a risky move,” Taylor told
GIVEMESPORT (21 August).
Everton have shown “genuine interest” in signing Troyes forward
Mama Balde this summer, according to Paul Brown.
Speaking to GiveMeSport on 21 August, the former Daily Star journalist
said the Toffees are eyeing a move for the Guinea-Bissau international in case a deal for Che Adams falls through.
Birmingham are among the clubs to have been linked with
Tom Cannon and no one in the corridors of power at St Andrew’s would turn their nose up at the 20-year-old. Cannon scored eight times in 20 Championship games for Preston last season.
Giving an update on Cannon's future, Everton boss Sean Dyche said:
"We're keeping our minds open at this stage. We haven't got a big squad as everyone knows, we haven't got massive number of strikers, that's quite obvious. He's in the building for now and will view it accordingly as the window comes towards the end."
Demarai Gray is the latest Premier League player
in line for a mega money transfer to Saudi Arabia. Gray, 27, has been heavily linked with a switch to Al Shabab throughout the summer window. Repo
rts claim a fee has been agreed for Gray, who will be allowed to depart Goodison Park once a replacement has been signed. Al Shabab have been given the green light to negotiate terms with Gray. Leeds United’s
Willy Gnonto, Porto’s
Goncalo Borge and Chelsea winger
Callum Hudson-Odoi are all being touted as potential replacements for Gray.
Everton are reportedly mobilising to end all Luton Town hopes of signing
Japhet Tanganga, while the Tottenham defender is no longer a target for a surprise European giant. The 24-year-old was described as ‘weighing up’ the offers as he looks to get his career back on track. Italian source Inter Live have now provided their information on Tanganga’s future. They claim Inter have
dropped their interest in the Spurs outcast as they are closing in on an alternative defensive capture.
The future of
Hugo Ekitike doesn’t appear to be at Paris Saint-Germain. As the Sept. 1 summer transfer deadline approaches, the 21-year-old’s file is heating up with several clubs interested.
Le Parisien reports that Everton and AC Milan seem to be emerging as frontrunners, while West Ham United, Eintracht Frankfurt remain in the mix. Everton and AC Milan have shown interest in signing French talent Ekitike, engaging in discussions with his entourage. Meanwhile, West Ham seems poised to take a different approach.
