Cucurella is the perfect example of how to mug off the big clubs, you set your price and wait for the egos to get the better of them. The actual “value” of the player is meaningless.

The top 6 or 7 are absolutely pishing money out the door trying to compete with each other and if they take a liking to one of your players you have to take advantage.
(cough) Anthony Gordon (cough)

Survival doesn't solve our problems. We need to sell to spend regardless of ownership so I can see one of Onana or Pickford being sold for big money. And then we'll accept any bids for the likes of Gomes, Holgate, Keane etc just to get rid and bolster funds. Lets be brutally honest - this is a group of players that have survived by the skin of their teeth two seasons in a row. We had no right to stay up this season, we only stayed up because amazingly 3 teams were worse than us. Pickford aside, there isn't a single player I'd lose sleep over leaving if we got an acceptable bid.

Almeria have just signed centre forward 'Luis Suarez' from Marseille on loan with an option to buy.

Could mean El Bilal Toure is available :) ;)
I'm a little concerned by his injury record - at just 21 in a much slower paced league as well.

We can't afford to get our striker signing wrong this summer, it's imperative we find someone not only quality but also reliable.

I know many will disagree, but if we could work it as a loan I'd take Weghorst, provided we still got another striker in. We saw what a player with actual hold up and link up ability could do for this team in Dyche's time here in DC-L's few appearances, and that was without him scoring (penalty against Leicester not included).

That said, if Burnley want permanent only, and something close the the 12 mil they spent on him, then absolutely no.

Could have written that after watching 30 mins of one game and caught some highlights on motd

(The tweet, not the actual article)
  1. Lists Beto, Che Adams, Elanga as FWD targets. Regular checks on Moussa Dembele on a free and Tyrese Campbell as an outside bet
  2. Looking at loans & frees
  3. Sell to buy like last summer - Onana as most saleable asset (Arsenal/Chelsea interest in Jan). No mention of Pickford
  4. Claims Dyche doesnt real consider Holgate and Godfrey as CB. Holgate almost moved in Jan.
  5. Branthwaite to be 1st XI option next season
  6. Full back a priority

I got as far as Che Adams...

I agree and to behonest, you can normally pick up a decent keeper, as there is always a good one (even internationals) needing to first team football, due to the fact the first choice isn't often dropped. But we need to get the high earners who aren't playing off the books. Getting player wage costs down will go a long way to sorting out out problems. Like most on here, I loved Mina, but no one can say finacially he was good signing. A lot of wages for very little game time. Gomes and Ali will be the ones who need to be gone as quickly as possible.

Having said that we need to replace all these players as well. We can't have threadbare squad with two keepers( No idea why they do that, surely giving one of the kids first team squad experienc would do more good?) and one missing on the bench every week. But the new players shouldn't be on fortunes that make it impossible to sell the players on if they don't make it. I would hope we get a few younger players that could be later sold on, for a profit.

….interesting we’ve been linked with a few midfielders of this very ‘type’.

I think it’s because Davies is going on a free, so would say we need 6 central midfielders, if we are going to continue with 451 and really we have; Gana, Garner, Onana, Doucoure and Iwobi can play there as well.

On Abraham -- just saying how interested we were. Hopefully this is true and we can move onto someone else quickly

Forza Roma say ‘the eyes of the Premier League’ have been on Abraham, with ‘Everton above all
