Plenty of time to work our way through every fit and injured striker in all European leagues that Kev has heard of before getting all the way back to square one and offering £40m plus add ons to Sporting for Gyokeres.

The absolutely crazy thing is that we've known we've needed a striker since November last year. That's nine months and honestly I don't think we're any nearer now than we were then. I have no idea what our strategy has been in this window. Dyche basically said we only signed Chermitti because we could and that seems to be the criteria for the others too. Danjuma and Harrison are here because there were no other takers. Danjuma literally jibbed us off six months earlier and Harrison's clause was close to expiring before he came to us as nobody else would chance his injury. Young chose us over Luton, I suppose but he's almost as old as me. That the standing of the club has been allowed to fall so drastically is utterly shameful.
