Basically the 'news' of the last 24 hours has been an EFC Production and the implicit message is "Well, we'd like to make these signings, but you can see it's all become so complicated. Ah well, maybe January".

In reality those deals were never ever in motion. They were and are a scam to get them through the summer window and it's unbelievable that so many have fallen for it.

These people have one talent: deceiving Evertonians. That's it. They cant make money and they cant prudently govern a football club. They just have a massive talent for deception and a willing army of stooges outside the club in the MSM and social media happy to peddle their BS for them and lie to Everton supporters.

Latest from Bobble is that Udinese are open to an offer for Beto, and it sounds like the initial downpayment wouldn't be much more than that for Adams so I guess it makes sense if we stall on Adams to explore it.

Seems a deal could be done for Beto, with same upfront payment. Obviously much higher fee but longer term with smaller fees works for us. Still seems a long way away but everything going down to the wire. Still not confident of a ST in in next 7/8 days

Yeah, Beto is more over the long run but he's at least an actual investment, still only 25 and with the physical tools to do well in this league, if you spend 25m on him you could realistically turn a profit. Che Adams you know what you're getting and although he's cheaper, at 27 you're not going to turn a profit or even get much of your money back if and when you sell. IF there's a deal to be done for Beto with a similar up front payment it seems like a no-brainer.

They'll have briefed their BS hard luck stories to the usual suspects already about players they thought they had except for a late change of mind by a player or selling club. None of it will be Everton's fault. It never is.

It’s not really deception though is it, when once the dust has settled on the transfer window and a few more games go by, if we have no further additions (particularly attacking ones) the pressure cooker lid will blow sky high, and if they think they were in for protests now, the actions that take place at that point will be a lot more focal or forceful.

If what you say if their strategy is true and is a delaying tactic, it’s self defeating for them. They would be solely hoping for an upturn in performances and results which I think we can all say is very unlikely to happen. They would be better managing expectations of the fan base to manage any rising fervour.
