Summer transfer window 2023

Chelsea have decided to let Romelu Lukaku exit on temporary basis if no sale agreed. #CFC & 30yo’s reps working all summer for permanent but now open to loan + obligation or straight loan + meaningful fee. Interest from #Juve #ASRoma #SPL

Would have him here in a heartbeat but leaving aside the fact I doubt he would come back, I would probably rather the club took a punt on Beto if they could. Would rather we sign someone on the way up in their career trajectory. However I doubt either will happen, so Maupay it is!

Agreed. CFC will have better offers elsewhere for him. As will the player in terms of wages and standard of teams I imagine.
In a way it would also benefit Chelsea for him to come here on loan, as he would be available to play against their 'rivals' but not against the them.

Not that he'd come back here though.

with 7 days to go in the window i am reducing my hopes for what we will achieve.
IN: 1 signing + a domestic loan (guessing a defender)
OUT: think Gray is going, Holgate if that loan is a defender. Think we are stuck with Gomes/Gbamin unless we flog them to a league whose window is open till later. And i guess Cannon is going if the other IN is finally a striker.

I hope i dont have to post next week that my hopes are 1 defender on loan and chasing Morelos on a free after the window :(
We will end up offloading both gomes and gbamin by subsidising the wages like last year which is not good at all...personally I would keep gomes...

The ship for Saturday sailed on Monday or so. No way Dyche throws a striker in who hasn’t done a bleep test
Yes - let’s stick with maupay because he’s Dyche-fit.

Mad thing is we look really under cooked; villa were miles ahead on fitness and football.

The one thing I thought Dyche would give us would be a fitter team.

Hats off to anyone who signs now after seeing what a poorly run club we are and how terrible we are on the pitch. If they do sign it must be to improve their career and we hopefully see them work hard and use Everton as a stepping stone
