Morning all and welcome to the 26th of August Everton transfer round up
Udinese striker
Beto has accepted a move to Everton although the Toffees will need to increase their offer, according to
Fabrizio Romano. The Italian journalist provided an update via Twitter in the early hours of Saturday morning (26 August), reporting that the two teams will discuss the deal again today with the Serie A outfit wanting more than the £25.7million Everton have offered.
Sky Sport Italia state there are also add-ons which will take the total closer to the £30m.
TMW claim the situation is so advanced that Beto could be on Merseyside to have his medical tests today.
As per Football Insider, Everton defender
Mason Holgate has agreed to join Southampton despite interest from Leeds United and will arrive on a season-long loan deal that will include an option to buy at the South Coast outfit.
Everton are prepared to submit one last offer for Leeds United winger
Wilfried Gnonto, according to journalist Rudy Galetti who spoke to
Give Me Sport.
Galetti
said: "Everton will make a last attempt to increase the offer to convince Leeds.
"But if the bid is rejected again, they will definitely leave negotiations and look for another target as a new offensive player."
According to
Inter Live, the Toffees are in the mix for Tottenham Hotspur defender
Japhet Tanganga.
Reporter Ben Jacobs has since stated that the reason movement has stagnated regarding Tanganga's possible transfer is that suitors are more inclined to offer a loan move than a permanent deal, which could work in Everton's favour.
Everton target
Hugo Ekitike is interested in a switch to Premier League rivals Brentford, according to
Sky Sports News. As reported by the broadcaster in their online transfer blog (25 August, 12:32 pm), PSG are offering the 21-year-old striker to various clubs across Europe as they look to balance the books in order to meet FFP regulations.
Everton could look to sign Southampton winger
Kamaldeen Sulemana as an alternative to Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto, as transfer expert
Fabrizio Romano exclusively provides GIVEMESPORT with an update from Goodison Park.
But Romano claims that Sulemana “could be a possibility” and that the attacker, once dubbed “exceptional” by
Erik ten Hag, “remains a player they appreciate.”
The Daily Mail claim that
Patson Daka could now join Bournemouth after Everton had an offer to take him on a season-long loan knocked back by Leicester City.
Bournemouth are set to complete the signing of Everton target
Patson Daka, according to
Alan Nixon. The journalist confirmed via his official Patreon (25 August) that the Cherries are keen to bring in extra attacking options with the Zambia international available after he previously saw a move to Goodison Park break down.
