I like him he seems a decent guy and he gets into the team because he is kind of better than most options. But when he is in the team he immediately imbalances it because he doesn’t excel in any one position. I’ve felt for a while that his inclusion causes us a lot of problems balancing the first eleven.
I get that point, and it's been mentioned before. However, a part of it for me is where he has been played, at least recently. He is not a winger.

Playing him on the left or right hasn't helped him, or us. In the middle as a CM, there are definitely issues too, and I am not ignorant of that.

Yet for a good stretch, he was our best player (regular MOTM) by a country mile, however I'm not sure if Dyche's setup will favour him in that role either.

For me, the best position would be between the striker and the defence, where he could be more creative, while not getting other midfielders caught out of position.

But if Dyche doesn't want that, maybe it is time to move him on? The only issue is, while he isn't perfect, him going would weaken our midfield's creativity.

I still don't think Dyche has found out how best to use the players and create the correct balance - same problem with Doucourê, Onana and others.

Perhaps that's his downfall. He clearly has the technical ability and can put a shift in when he is on it. However what is his best position CAM? RM? 2nd striker? RWB? I think they had the same issue at Arsenal too.

@Zatara
check the Everton v Fulham thread MOTM poll

You just need to look at the Onana-cam posted in Onana's thread for that game.

Then look at the negative comments both during and after the game....and compare with those who then did a 180 after watching the Onana-cam.

It's laughable that Iwobi was better than Onana. Iwobi had a flashy game with no end product and no conviction in his play.

Wharton
Bakayoko
Sulemana
Elvedi
Kyle walker peters

Wharton, Gnonto and Bakayoko would be the 3 id want.

Well there was no end product from anybody but I don't see how you can question Iwobi's conviction. Lack of skill sometimes, lack of composure even more often, but he plays with complete conviction. Onana played well in that game, I thought. Iwobi played a bit better. It's no biggie
