I remember convincing myself Paul Dickov would be a shrewd signing and would get us a bucket full of goals a season (8-10 was my estimate) lol

I was convinced in James Beattie we had signed the next Alan Shearer. I sharing a house with a Saints fan at the time and he was certain he was going to be the next great English striker. lol

Is a symptom of long covid not being able to play football? I didn’t see that on Chris Whitty’s PowerPoint.

Think if a large part of your game is pace,then a sudden lack of that can have a big part in a drop in form. Then there's the psychological toll that not being able to do what you could previously will do to a young player. I think the mental health issues of long COVID are well documented.

Let’s be fair, we were signing crap players long before Dyche rocked up.

That's exactly my point though. How are we going to change that if Dyche is allowed to stick his oar in? We'll end up with a terrible side devoid of any quality at all.

We've seen with our own eyes that Weghorst massively struggles to score goals. We know we have a massive issue scoring goals.

I just can't see any logic in signing a striker who can't score goals and has proved it in 2 spells in the PL.

If it’s a loan deal and we are signing someone else on a permanent deal, then I’m not against it. If he was our main striker signing then I understand but I doubt he is.

I watched Utd quite often on tele, this guy never stopped pressing.

But didnt start scoring. We dont need just big lumps in the squad we need goalscorers. Its a defo no from me. I would rather give cannon a chance.
