So we've got a decent sample size of about 25 PL games and Cup games and he hasn't found the back of the net.

We have 3 strikers who contributed 4 goals last season.

Can you imagine adding another striker who scored 0 goals in half a season and that's with players around him who can actually control a ball and assist?

I'm pretty sure whoever we sign will end up being rubbish. Would just prefer not to know that is definitely the case before they play.

Weghorst and Maupay the stuff of nightmares.

Burnley are crap though.

On the flip side, richarlison did well for us, regularly getting double figures, despite awful service. Yet has massively struggled at spurs. Players can find a groove under certain managers at certain clubs but not others.

If Dyche wants him, and we are keeping Dyche, then surely we need to trust him.

We've seen with our own eyes that Weghorst massively struggles to score goals. We know we have a massive issue scoring goals.

I just can't see any logic in signing a striker who can't score goals and has proved it in 2 spells in the PL.

Exactly. The only way we improve is by singing better players than the ones we have. Adding more tosh like weghorst isn’t gonna help us to keep relegation at bay.

I’d take Dembele and Weighorst right now as
A) Dyche would probably do ok with them
B) they are better than Simms and Maupay in terms of a presence and a goal threat.
C) in terms of next season I think their goals would comfortably keep us up.

Well I would be surprised if Dembele got more than 10 and Wout more than 3. If that is what we are investing in to improve our forward line and Dyche continues to play his beloved Keane, the Championship will not be far away.

Weghorst sounds like a backup to DCL again i.e. your Rondons, Maupays, etc
