I was mortified we extended Doucoure’s contract and although he’s earned it in full already, I know the next time I see him misplace a five yard pass I’m going to lose it with him all over again.

So for that reason, I’d happily see someone like Alcaraz come in and compete for his position.

You quoted the player with 27 goals and 5 assists without stating lacazette. I was talking about Dembele not lacazette. I couldnt give a toss about lacazette we are not linked with him. By that logic Marcus Rashford kept Wout Wehgorst out of the united team so do we sign him? What Lacazette scored has no relevance. The question is why couldnt he get in ahead of him if hes still a player? Dembele is 26 so why wasnt he fancied to score those same goals in a two bob league?

This is it, when we buy another striker who can’t score, you will have people saying “did you see how crap we were last season, he’s better than Maupay.” We are in this mess because we keep signing crap, I hope we have our standards set higher this summer
