I included all of his premier league appearances across two seasons and his entire international career.
Exactly m8, I don't ever want to go through another season like that again. But are stupid Gambling on DCL ( Now that it's over ) did actually bring some benefits of not bloating our squad with more Trash that we cant move on, and more money out the door that we didn't have to spend.
I can't deal with last minute desperate spending, it never pays off.
If we haven't properly planned on a target, than he's not your man...

Not really, both were a lot cheaper than Onana and well regarded in Europe. They are the sort of signings we should be looking at (though ideally even before they get to this price) not older players on huge contracts
Lucky for us neither seem to have set the world on fire but it is only their first season in the prem

Hmm, so we should ignore what any player has ever done outside the prem!??!!
This is why we keep signing over prices rubbish from other prem teams…we need to be looking outside of the prem for value in players that could fit our way of playing.
The games DCL played for us at the end showed why we need a big striker that works hard…and it was not for his goal stats in those games…it was his alround play and what he did that brought us up the pitch and allowed others more space.
Goal and assist stats of players dont show that quality.
We also need to factor In that any striker coming in will need to happy sitting on the bench for maybe 1/3 of the season…in a team not in europe.
So for me, using goals and assist dont cut it when considering all this.
Now, if we are completely replacing DCL, we need 2 strikers…one in the mould i described and one even better…but i don't see that happening.

I know many dont like my posts and thats cool, but most of the time im playing devils advocate…and some just wont and dont get it…their is always another point or view or a more complex way of looking at things, thats all im doing.
Goals and assist is a silly way to only compare players…and if your going to do it…need to use the same parameters for both…not just spin 1 to fit your opinion.
Pretty sure he was in the running for the golden boot aver there

If we need to make a big sale, it will be very revealing when we time it.
If we rush it into June, it probably means we are close to or over the limit for the P&S assessment period that ends with the 22/23 accounts. If that period is within loss limits and in the clear, there would be no point putting a big profit on sale in that period; better to leave until July as it will benefit us further into the future (the 22/23 accounts will drop out of the reckoning a year before the 23/24, obviously).
Incomings matter less. Buying someone in June would only see one/zero months amortisation in the 22/23 accounts. Common to only start depreciating assets the month after you acquire them so it would make no difference.
Does Kev have the brainpower to get it right.
