What? You don’t have to be good in the air to score headers from inside the 6 yard box. Have you got a compilation of all these amazing headers? Can’t wait til you actually watch him play.

What would be the point of providing a compilation for you? You've made up your mind.

Scored 1 in 2 games in the Bundesliga; he can operate as a target man for us as long as we get a mobile striker who can score to play off him too.

He isn’t good enough to operate as a target man in the Premier League, he’s proven that in two spells at Burnley and United.

Weggy is fine, as long hes not the only Forward we bring in.

I think if you look at his time in Germany Vs his time in the England, its like 2 different players. In the german league he was a 20 plus goals a season player for 3 seasons, then at Burnley and Man utd hes scored 4 goals in 2 season.

You could say Burnley didnt create a lot, Man Utd hardly played to his strengths, but the fact is he may not actually be any good, at premier league level.

I have to admit I always liked Weghorst.
Saying that I always liked Maupay.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say a Maupay - Weghorst attack could gel with the right service.
First off, you have my respect for posting something which will be met with ridicule and derision. Well done to have the courage of your convictions.

Second of all, what in the actual #$%^ are you on about

Both are awful, Maupay is probably a better finisher, but Weghorst would have been better suited to us last season.
I’d prefer one of the younger kids over both of them.

….with Weghorst this season we‘d probably have been in the comfort zone. That’s the extent of Thelwell’s negligence.

Saying that, I think we can do better, even for the monies. Not sure about us accommodating a 2nd striker to support him especially if that doesn’t fit the playing strategy. At Burnley, Dyche did use Vydra at times (Michael Keane was scared stiff of him) so perhaps Cannon could fill that role.

I have no confidence in our recruitment team whatsoever, poor recruitment has gone on far too long to ease my fears. So has a lack of spending power, which is becoming the norm.

Michael keane is a better option upfront as he knows how to unsettle defenders - mostly his own side

Need a pace merchant with a good finish. Not a donkey

Reminds me of celtic with hartson and Bellamy playing. Bellamy had to pull up a deck chair waiting for hartson to arrive in box

Maupay scored 1 goal in 29 appearances last season for us and Maupay is the better finisher of the two you say. I feel totally relaxed ahead of the up coming season.
