Might have been worth keeping Townsend for another year. I know he came back from ACL but good solid pro who'd be good backup winger with an eye for goal.

Could leave room for a Jack Clarke or similar.

He's not, and the Davies thing is baffling (I assume we're so skint that we need the bodies). I still don't see the point of extending Lonergan's deal, however.
