I don't get the Lonergan thing at all. He's 40 in October has played 0 times for us. What is the point of him being here?

Pointless retention. What's the point of spending money on the likes of Virginia and Crelin if they serve no purpose at the club? We'll be playing once a week for most of the season. All you need is 1 first choice, 1 competent backup and a good/solid young prospect in the U21s who can be 3rd choice if needed. It aint rocket surgery... but here we are offering 39 year old goalkeepers who have never kicked a ball for us contracts. Clueless Club FC.

A lot of clubs have experienced 3rd choice keepers who never play.
City have Scott Carson for years, the rs have one , united have one , so do Chelsea and I'm sure many more.

Coady I dont see as any great loss. Coleman will give us 15+ games - we have Garner who can step in and Patterson. Mina is the one who needs replacing.

Branthwaite is the replacement for mina can only see another cb coming in if we can sell one of the three keane godfrey and holgate who i expect dyche to let go. I understand the frustration with davies but if keeping him helps us bring in an attacking mid, i will be happy. Is just the state of the club atm
