How lucky that some of the best clubs in the land have...

...also Lille have a 20% sell on.
Best clubs in the land wanted rodwell, Jeffers, Barkley and Gordan.
He is young with potential, but another season with a similar impact as this and we aren’t getting £70m

Let's be clear though, there is not a chance in hell that we're turning down a £70m bid if it comes in. It's pointless saying they should hold out for more because in the position we're quite clearly in, we'll be biting their hands off at that price. I really like the look of Onana but £70m is crazy money for what he's actually done, it's the type of deal we'd normally be going mad about us doing - spending twice as much as they could have done last year despite him not necessarily having shown much more as a player.
I agree - any deal that means we end up doubling our money in a year is worth taking. I like him a lot and he's the full package in terms of physicality, attitude and star quality but there is still a lot to work on technically and it's probably better another club that can afford to takes the risk of whether he will / won't reach his enormous potential.

Sign a big talent, double your money, sign another two big talents with it. That's how we grow out of this mess and back on track.

Just reading some bs article saying Beto can leave now (for some astronomical fee no doubt) because his club are signing some Brazilian from MLS for £8m.

Why can’t we just take out the middle man and get the Brazilian for £8m? Not seen Beto but doubt he’s £20m better than the other lad?
