To be
Has only 2 year contract remaining and looks to me that he is not willing to sign a new contract as he is probably thinking he is too good for us.
Then fine, if he has a decent season, teams will still offer the same amount next year, with 1 year on his contract. Even if he stays the 2 and does well, we might get the development fee, which will be a decent amount ( might be wrong on that, not sure how development fee works).

All said and done, we ain't in a bad place with him.
Now if someone comes and offers silly money, then fine, let the lad go now. But for once, the club is in a decent position with this one.

Any potential Pickford deal shouldn’t involve Henderson. I don’t rate him that highly and we’ll end up over valuing him in the deal. If we have to sell Pickford rinse them for cash and buy a different keeper.

Remember United are the club that screwed us under Silva when we were ready to pay a lot of money for a CB either Smalling or Rojo and they left us in the lurch on the last day and then let both leave for absolute pittance rather than strengthen us even though we’d always dealt with them fairly for Rooney and Lukaku.

We shouldn’t deal with United Spurs or Chelsea unless we absolutely have to.
I don't mind Henderson. He is a decent keeper.
But yeah, if he does go to utd, we should rinse them. If Allison is £75m, then so is Pickford.
Simples.
This £45m nonsense is just a feeler,.to see if he is available and at what price. He won't go for anywhere near that amount. It will be much higher.

We should only be selling our best players if an offer comes in that we simply can't refuse. Any average offers should be dismissed immediately. Don't even get me started on the nonsense about branthwaite for £6m it's the laziest piece of journalism imaginable. It's like the number for Pickford has now been moved to £45m, it's like the papers are trying to sound out a suitable figure. It boils my piss it really does.

Agreed like for like pricing at least £75m

Yes I think we could get a decent keeper for free.

Just those moments where you need the Star to save you. We'd have gone down without Pickford, either in 22 or 23. That's a fact.
It depends on what else came in. People said we'd go down without Richarlison and yet the combination of things we brought in was enough even though McNeil who was his direct replacement contributed fewer goals.

Fair but the squad is still better than how they performed under joke management. We can sell and replace while improving. We don't have elite players.
I hope you're right. Leaving aside the goalkeeper....where we will definitely be weaker...I'm not sure that any of the potential incomings for midfield positions that have been touted around are as good as, say, Iwobi or Gray. There's a lot of hope riding on Patterson and Branthwaite so let's pray they are both still here. Obviously any recruitment up front will strengthen that area as we are starting from practically nothing. Even if our recruitment is somehow suddenly inspired, we are going to need some more luck to stay up next season

We got less points than we did the previous season and were fortunate that Leicester and Leeds (what a team) were even more unbelievably pitiful than us. We got away with one, our transfer business last summer definitely didn’t keep us up.
