Personally don't think there's enough evidence to draw this strong of a conclusion. Which is why first we should have played Simms more, because both he was a better option and it would have provided the evidence, but also why selling him for peanuts is maybe bad.

Also apparently Nkounkou who we're also selling for peanuts is in a strong France u21 squad. So that's cool.

I remember watching MOTD analysis where it showed our wingers creating tons of chances and our attackers (ok, it was mainly Maupay. Not sure that counts) were standing still and not getting into attacking positions.

Yes I seen it all season with my own eyes dangerous balls into the box no one even close to it or busting there balls to try and get on it. Then when maupay did end up on any chance he fluffed them he had some good chances and scored 1 all season. No forwards almost cost us and if that isn’t the priority this window we’re in for another long ride.

I don't think he's a left back but there's some very intriguing signs that he's been miscast and should be further forward. At a minimum a wing back. He's intriguing and we're just giving him away.

we were probably linked as we wanted him in January. But that was desperation time so i guess he was way down our list now.

also it says they are keen on Mateta (nothing more), so maybe there is still hope for a 31st of August deal to us lol

I don't know on Simms. I do find it interesting that people can get hyped up for a bunch of guys who weren't better at the same level just because they have fun names or whatever. More likely people are just falling for the shiny new toy. What concerns me is our manager and DOF probably do the same thing.

You're equating "better" as goals scored alone, which is dumb, but very you.
