I agree. I read somewhere the Coventry owner was hoping to get closer to 30m. For a 25 year old who hasn’t shown anything above Championship level that’s twice a realistic price. At some point we have to bite the bullet to get someone but this doesn’t feel like the right one for me.
never in a million years getting that though, he's bluffing, they would sell for 20m
£30mill or chance of promotion next season for £100mill....
very unlikely they would be pushing for promotion again though

I think dysche did exceptional job with our limited resources to stay up but their manager definitely has a higher pedigree and profile than him. Players today don't look at how many cups we won in the 80s
Who mentioned what we won in the 80s? Look at the table last year Wolves finished nowhere hardly scored a goal and had strikers all season. What suddenly makes them an attractive proposition for players? Lopategui? Haha have a word with yourself.

Not worth getting into a bidding war over
Not if it goes over 20m that's probably most of our budget

They just sold Neves to some Saudis so they can spend again...

They may well think like that but you get a financial opportunity like Gyokeres pretty rarely and they’d be mad to let him just walk in a year. Take the money and invest it in 3 or 4 players throughout your team and maybe it strengthens you overall. Plenty of strikers put up Gyokeres numbers down there.

Plus if they are being rational then next years championship will be very hard to get promotion from, they three teams that have gone down, even if they lose some of their players, are an unusually strong set of relegated clubs and will be hard to compete with.

More chances with him than without him. Which is the point.

Who'd have thought Luton would've gone up.

yer but not quite the same as Luton have been slowly building an effective championship tean, mid table, they finished play offs last season and then play offs again this season.

coventry have just come up havent they? incredible acheivement like, but can;t see it again with our with gyorekes

I never said you did but they've have been more successful than us recently so what appeal as a club do we have over them than our past was my point, feel free to disagree you don't have to be conscending in your conduct. Lopategui has managed at real Madrid, Spain, Porto and Seville all top jobs , dysche was known for tenacious displays with underfunded burnley squad there is a difference.

Right thing to do gyokeres and move on with the next deal club done this last season with broja instead of moving on. If they want crazy money let the other teams go in for him

Might have a key player that doesn’t want to be there though, effectively downing tools ruining a promotion push then leaving for free

A gamble. But if you've got 4 or 5 teams in a bidding war and you're willing to not let him go unless your price is met...it's only gonna push the price up to get the maximum.

Again, there's a handful of clubs interested in him. Start a bidding war for him by saying we don't mind letting him go for free if it's not met.

Either way if that happens, count us out

Couple of years ago. Been midtable since. So they're in the same boat
