Tom Davies has made the right decision for himself. It leaves us with another hole to fill. An Isaac Price shaped hole of cheap squad depth but we screwed up his progression over his last 6 months and made him believe his path was blocked. We totally messed up this bit of squad building.

From all I've read, we're trying to shrink the wagebill. Has a bit of Sunderland in the Championship vibes.
We'll sign players mate. Yeah, we're trying to shrink the wage bill but we've been doing so, and the departure of Mina and others will help.

Put it this way, our finances / FFP are no worse than they were last summer, in fact the FFP has improved. We signed 8 players last summer.

Seems unlikely, but I dont even know what he looks like, never mind if hes any good at football.

I just know he wont be coming here.

I know absolutely nothing about him, but I can say with confidence that he has two career options right now:

Option 1 - join Everton, be absolute bin juice, score 2 goals all season and end up loaned out to Rennes next year.

Option 2 - join Fulham, score 14 before January and then move to United for £73m.

These are his only two options currently.

The Sunderland Echo says we are putting in a triple bid for; Summerville, Gnonto and Harrison all for £44m. If we manage that I think its decent business. I cant see it though, I think they would want a lot more for all 3.

I'd take any of them, maybe two at the right price, but we sure as hell don't need all three.

Imagine if we made a triple bid, just imagine.

Above us only sky.

But you said we can only buy 26 year old players from the only good league in the world. We don't have a choice now.
No I didnt, I said he had played in rubbish leagues and only scored goals in 2 of them.

That doesnt mean we should only sign Premier League players, but it should mean we should look for players who are playing above the standard of the rubbish leagues they are playing in.

Like Haaland for example, scored an utter shedload in rubbish leagues, every season = talented boy.
